Say what you feel live ain't long enough to hide things |

Even if you didn't live longer and all that stuff I think you should still be honest all the time. |

Spit it out! If people don't like what you've gotta say, or debate for that matter, it is their
problem. Every body's got a right to an opinion, doesn't mean to say everybody has got to agree to
that opinion. What a boring old world it would be if everybody on this site said: " I agree with
that!" There's far too many debates on this site that are filled with unsubstantiated factual cr@p
to substantiate boring opinions. Give me a creative witty opinion any day. Here's to a long life,
and prosperity...;-) |

No, not really.
Sometimes it shows great character to be able to do that, for example telling someone they look good
when they might not.
It depends on the situation, really.
So it is good to do it, but not all the time. |

Sure, I agree, although anything can be taken too far. You shouldn't walk up to a stranger on the
street and verbally assault them because you hate their hair style. |

I do agree that everyone has an opinion, but that opinion should not always be voiced. To control
what should be said is the difference between an amateur and a professional. There is a time and
place for everything, and one should not just blurt out every thought just because it was on his or
her mind. Sometimes you can confirm what you want to say just by waiting it out and watching.
I would especially disagree with blurting out negative opinions if no one had asked for them; that's
just rude. If someone asks for your opinion, you should try to give it as direct as possible without
being a @$$ about it. What's the point in making your opinion sound as mean as possible? |

Finsch is correct. It is indulgant and self-centered. Restraint of tounge and pen is a great
virtue.
Not so sure you live longer when you have no friends. |

Often saying what you really think is just being self indulgent. If you turn it around it becomes
everyone else telling you their opinion of everything you do, and that doesn’t sound particularly
fun does it? There are plenty of situations where it is appropriate but you have to judge whether
you’re accomplishing anything positive or just venting your spleen inappropriately. |
