It Does No Good To Yell At The Tv.
The people in the TV can't hear you anyway.

There isn't anything to be gained from shouting at the TV, you can't change what is going to happen. But I admit I'm guilty of doing it and sometimes it makes me feel better.

The coach and players on your sports team cannot hear you. Nor can Judge Judy, Dr. Phil or anyone else you see on tv. Just don't do it. I know, I used to yell " Don't pick up the snake!!!" at those nature shows and they always went right over and picked it up anyway. Finally my kids threatened to ground me from Animal Planet if I didn't quit screaming at the TV.

The person yelling finds in fun(sort of). It adds enthusiasm too. And it is perfectly harmless, so it dosent really matter(unless it is mid-night that time. I would want to punch him/her)lol

Not always. My cat was laying on me when my husband yelled at the baseball game and it scared her and she scratched me as she bolted off me.

It's kinda like writing in a journal right? Expressing feelings. Like if you are so surprised that something happened on TV you would be like WOAH! Or Don't do it don't go in the closet! (LOL) So yeah but i think some people express to much when someone does something and they are all like "You idiot! Why did you go in the closet hmm?? Do you wanna get killed! Gosh you are giving me so much stress just WATCHING you do this!" ...........Talk about CRAZY! 0.o But you get my point though. Besides yelling at something that is a person that can't hear you sounds fun!

I think yelling at the TV, especially when the Eagles are losing, helps me blow some frustration so I don't carry it around after the game is over and take it out on other people. So I think in certain circumstances, yelling at the TV actually does help to relieve stress.

It does make you feel like you're incorporated into the show. It just means that you're more deeply focused, pretty much absorbed. It doesn't matter if you yell or not at the TV. What difference does it make if I don't, or if I do?

It may not change the outcome of anything but I would be lying if I said it didn't give me a certain amount of satisfaction.

My dad always yelled at the TV when the Eagles were playing. He was normally so calm that one really never knew if he was awake or asleep, but when the Eagles were playing, there were no doubts...lol. I always wondered why the yelling. Now I know. Hey, if it gives you satisfaction, go for it. Do you stand up to yell or just yell from where you're sitting? I loved when he jumped right out of his chair and screamed at the team even though there was not a chance in the world of them hearing them. I actually yell to the people in horror movies. They do the most idiotic things. The lights go out and there is a crazed killer in town, yeah, I'm gonna go down to look at the breaker...NOT!
