This is true because by asking a question a person cant exactly be brain dead since there must have
been something that prompted them in their thoughts to ask. |

While i don't think there are any stupid question, I do wish some people would think before they
ask. |

If a question is asked and we know the answer then that question may seem stupid. But someone didn't
know the answer so that is why the question was asked and they deserve an answer. |

There is no such thing as a stupid question, only a stupid answer. |

I agree. Just because someone is unsure of something that may appear obvious to someone else doesn't
mean it is stupid. A child may point at something yellow and ask if it is yellow. Someone who
doesn't have great eyesight may ask the same question, an so on.
The main thing is that you learn something new when you ask about something you are unsure of. When
I have a question that I think may appear stupid, I usually ask people who I know will be polite
about the fact that I don't know the answer. I never ask people who I know will be rude about it.
Those kind of people aren't worth bothering with. |

There really is no such thing as a stupid question. People ask question for clarity and
understanding, therefore, no question could be possibly be stupid. People only label them as stupid
because they already understand it. It is crazy to label someone as stupid because they ask a
question or are trying to understand something. I would say that a person who does not try to ask
questions or learn something is the stupid one. Therefore, no one should be afraid to ask any
question. There is no such thing as a stupid question. You should never be shy to ask a question
because you think it is stupid. Chances are, if you don’t know the answer and need to ask a
question, someone else in the class probably has the same question or one similar. |

And if the person asking if it is yellow is color-blind does that make it a stupid question? If it
is a parent trying to teach their child the colors are they stupid? The statement "There are no
stupid questions" refers to questions asked to obtain information and any question asked for that
reason shows that the asker is not stupid they are smart enough to want to gain knowledge and those
who want knowledge are the smartest among us. |

Umm well ._. There are stupid questions.. To me kinda.. Like once i was playing with my friends and
then my frd saw that i trip and fell and my knee was bleeding and i was like "ouch...blood..." and i
was in pain.. And my friends was like "what happen?" -.-" then they ask "where does it hurt?" and
lastly "is that blood on your knee"? Yea...... |

Um, no................way too many things/questions are so dumb, but....
I respect the rights of everyone to ask them anyway.....;-)
like Jim Davis, cartoonist said, (Garfield):
"the day that farts are no longer funny is the day that Humour dies".....
And I quite agree.
So, there IS a place for "Dumb Questions" too.....;-) |

Examples of stupid questions:
"When is your baby due?" (when they're not pregnant, they're just fat)
"Know where I can break a $100 bill?" (asked to a criminal in a bad neighborhood)
"Hey kid, do you like candy?" (asked from inside your car near a playground)
"What can I get for $50?" (asked to a cop on a prostitution sting)
"Who farted?" (asked out loud in church)
And it could go on and on...
Being "inquisitive" is not bad, and it should not be discouraged, but context and timing need to be
considered before you ask some things. While you can still ask anything at anytime you should be
ready for the consequences if you don't think before you speak. And then if you stick your foot in
your mouth then, yes, you asked a stupid question. |

Any question with an obvious answer is stupid to ask. |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
Well stupid is usually a matter of opinion. Some people think pointing out the obvious is stupid but
there's so many degrees to one thing. If i say that car is green and you say that's obvious it is
but if i ask what kind of green then its a very indepth question because there are so many types of
green. Maybe its lime green maybe dark green, maybe leafy green. It matters on opinion so i think
its a stupid question to ask if there are no stupid questions. |

I have debated with my friend a million times over this. She claims that there is such a thing as a
'stupid' question. For example if I was to (pointing at something yellow) ask is that yellow? Then
that would be a 'stupid' question. I don't agree. I think that no question is stupid but if anything
the person is. |
