Religion is the framework.
Faith is the wheels.

Faith is also believing in something you cannot prove. Also believing in something that might night happen but you hope some supernatural will intervene like having faith your child will win a race even though they have one leg.

Religion is an institution.

I have faith that the sun will come up tomorrow but it has nothing to do with religion.

Good point, even those things that we know are extremely likely to occur, like the sun rising, require an element of faith. So does religious faith---it is trusting in a belief for good reasons.

Faith is the "What?" when it comes to mythology.

Religion is the "How?" in its practice.

There is a total difference between faith and religion like there is between night and day.
One? You know God.
The other? You know you hate God's creation.

One is faith one is religion. One is slavery one is freedom.
One is.....Peace.....the other? Bitter and twisted.

Give me faith any day:-)

Religion is a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. When considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.

Christian Theology of faith is that trust in God and in His promises as made through Christ and the Scriptures by which humans are justified or saved.
Faith also means confidence or trust in a person or thing and
belief that is not based on proof

I believe they are one is the same-but you can have faith in a person without it being about something religious so maybe you can set them apart somehow.
