There's a difference between THE world coming to an end and YOUR world coming to an end. Some of
the religious zealouts who did predict a soon end tried to help it along via poison Koolaid or
firearms. Well for them the world ended for themselves and their followers but the rest of us kept
chugging along fine. Then in terms of THE world ending, OK, eventually in the unknown future it
will happen, but there would be absolutely nothing you could do to prevent it anyway so why lose any
sleep over it? Just live your life to the best of your abilities and then you'll feel good whether
the world ends or not. |

I don't believe that the end of the world is near. I think people misunderstand the fact that when
humanity dies, the world will still go on. There's a great series on the Discovery Channel called
"Life After People" that you guys should watch...very interesting stuff. So to restate my answer, I
don't all life on this planet will end; just humanity because we have this urge to kill each other. |

Nah. I'm a Christian and I don't think the world is coming to an end. Also, people use the word
"world" to mean so many different things. My personal work world came to an end when I lost my job
due to downsizing. I am looking for another job and when I find one, I will create a new personal
work world. The earth is a world, but the world can also mean only its civilizations and not the
globe itself.
So, debatinway, how do you define world? |

People always appear to confuse the end of the world with the end of the human race. The two
aren’t the same. The Earth will still be around after people are gone. Even once the Sun dies out,
the Earth will still be here. It’ll just be a molten scorching rock devoid of life. I don’t care
about the religious people who claim the end of the world, or the human race, is coming. They can
waste their life waiting for it to happen if they want. I’ll go on with mine without worry about
such stupid things. |
