Japenese anime is so better because theres bleach yu-gi-oh- bakugan and much much more so if you
dont like anime then im sadddddddd. |

Okay I'm a big fan of Family Guy and The Simpsons.
BUT... Anime. Well... It's just so much better on every level. The quality of drawing is beyond
comparison with the american stuff (although admittedly The Simpsons wouldn't have the same effect
in anime-form) and the story-lines tend to be a lot more interesting (obviously depending on the
anime). |

It's hard to make generalizations, but I'd agree that in general, the majority of anime, when
compared to all American animation across the board, is superior in it's writing, construction,
animation and orchestration. Most American cartoons are meant to appeal to the lowest common
denominator, full of fart jokes and cheap humor that appeals to the young and immature. Most anime
doesn't do that, it's aimed at a better educated and more mature audience.
Note this does not apply to the stuff they bring over here and redub for an American audience. |

In some ways I'd agree with you, but the sheer volume of anime programs on at any time is enormous.
There are hundreds and some I haven't even heard of like: Digimon, pokemon, yu-gi-oh, dragon masters
(or something like that), cardcaptors, totouro, Rahxephon etc. WAY TOO MANY! And they all get far
too complicated if you miss a few episodes. |

It is too broad a statement. For example Japanese anime can’t do comedy or slapstick worth a dang
The stuff coming out of America in the 50’s beats anything ever out of Japan on comedy. But Japan
definitely has the cartoon lock on science fiction and porn (as long as they don’t combine the
two, that tentacle stuff creeps me out.) |

It is too much of a sweeping statement for me to agree with. I can see the appeal of anime but I
prefer the the humour of The Simpsons and Family Guy. I can appreciate that the artwork is better
from Japan but that is not the be all and end all of what makes a good cartoon for me. |

With all due respect to Anime, it's really cool to look at but yet it all looks pretty much the
same. In Western cartoons you have quite a variety of drawing styles. Plus although there are
plenty of stupid plots on both ends of the spectrum there are others like the Simpson and Family Guy
which are written far more clever or interesting than I've seen in Anime.
It's still cool you're a fan of Anime, I just don't think it's better. I'd except equal. Not
better. |

Anime is stupid and confusing. The plot sucks and the animation is rushed and always the same.
Family guy is the best adult toon ever. And American Dad. Liberal media rules! |

Personally i don't like anime. I get really bored with it. I do think the simpsons is overrated but
family guy is the best out of all the adult cartoons. |
