So why did she return the money.
Keeping the money was worst that building the bridge.
This wouldn't have been done if he was white.
If there are so many whites that think so low of a black then stop getting us to die for you it may be time for black to except the truth and know that we arnt need here because the have the mexicans it maybe time to go or be only for self. |

Let me see if I understand even a small bit of what you posted. First, black people should be for
themselves? Is this accurate? I do not even see what sense this makes. Are you suggesting that
all black people look out for only black interests, or go somewhere else in the world? Next, what
in the world do Mexicans have to do with this debate? I am not touching the Palin part because,
frankly, you lost me after the title of your debate.
Well, I do not feel that our country should be overrun by illegal immigrants. I believe in stronger
boarder control around Mexico. I have no issue with people coming into the country legally, paying
taxes and learning the language. I do not like "Spanish as a second language". I am tired of
seeing everything printed in English and Spanish when we speak English here in the US. I would be
able to accept it better if, since we are a melting pot, we did the same for every nationality here.
As far as "having the Mexicans", I fail to see how in the entire world you equate that with not
"needing" black people anymore. The last I heard, we do not have legalized slavery. Are you
stating that Mexicans are now enslaved or are here to take over for black people and...excuse me...I
have to giggle a bit here....
OK, I think I am better. I forgot to even put a question mark above and left it that way because
the idea is such an absurd one that I don't even know why I am writing at all. I guess I got hooked
by the notion that anyone could have such a small minded and pathetic outlook.
I do not like it when ANY race feels that they are deserving of some special treatment due to issues
that took place in the past. I have two daughters. Their father is Jewish. Should I run around
complaining about the Holocaust and see if there is anything in it for me, as their mother? I mean,
my goodness, if something were to have happened to one of their ancestors, I would not have the two
beautiful daughters I have. I may have to ponder that for a while. I guess I should be very
concerned about what could have happened. I know what did happen. I know it was horrific. I know
it was evil. To say that, because black people were mistreated, they now need to band together and
look out for only themselves is about as dumb of an idea that I have ever had the misfortune to
hear. What about if all human beings simply stop looking for reasons to get special treatment.
Maybe they can all get by on their actual merits.
I think my response could be better, but with the lack of structure in the title, I found my mind so
boggled that I just wrote what came to my mind. I did not take this very seriously as a topic for
debate. If it is written over, using normal grammar and linking the topics to one another, I will
give it another stab. |

Like everyone else in this column, I'm sick and tired of hearing another black complain and make
statements that make no sense at all.
Blacks and other minorities have MORE rights than white people have. We don't have an NAACP we can
go to for student loans or help with housing JUST because we are white.
Whether blacks believe it or not, we whites have to WORK for what we have, just like anyone else.
So get up, stop whining and get what you want, through your own effort (not stealing or dealing) or
just like you said......GO
Sarah Palin kept that money that was allotted to the state of Alaska and used it on road projects
and stuff, where it was actually needed. |

70% of black children in America are born out of wedlock. It sounds as if you have been for "self
only" for a while. Guess who gets to help pay for that? 50% of black kids don't graduate from high
school. Guess who gets To help there also?
Always making excuses.

I agree w/ Shanster. Just in the ENGLISH that is typed out in your "protest," it is apparent that
you DON'T have much of an education. Your topic makes NO sense what-so-ever (eva) and only shows
your ignorance, if not only on the political status, but also on an educational status. You have
MORE opportunity than ALMOST any other race in this country to become ANYTHING you want to be, but
you CHOOSE to use your race as a crutch to b#$ch and complain instead of doing SOMETHING w/ your

You didn't spend much time in school did you. How did a bridge in Alaska, even relate to black
people? I know a lot of white people who have died for you to be able to put up such and ignorant
statement. If you want to put up something that is worth talking about, then know what you are
talking about. |
