It Is Not Safe To Reuse The Same Water Bottle Over And Over
I don't think that it is safe to re-use the same water bottle over and over because the science organization has discovered that when you freeze, heat, or don't wash after every use that bacteria and chemicals' leach into your water and can either make you have breast cancer ( ladies) or get very sick. ( all)

Use a GLASS water bottle like a used Sobe drink bottle and then wash after every use. Never use plastic drinking water bottles it leaches.
Plastic is made from a petroleum by-product.

I do it but I am not feeling good now and am going to start washing mine, or throwing it out, because it is disposable and I used it for 2 weeks in a row now.

I agree, bacterie does build up. The real reason I'm commenting on this, though, is because I would like to point out that men can have breast cancer too. Believe it or not :)

If its not safe to re-use then why do we reuse bath towels or cups, diner plates or shoes. Their bound to pick up lots of bacteria, and shoes aren't regularly washed! We obsess over too much. We can't protect ourselves from everything! So long as we wash it properly we will be fine!

Have you never thought of washing out bottles before reusing them?

Whether purpose made or "disposable" bottles, almost all bottles can be reused safely by a three step "shake and rinse" cleaning process:
(1) a few millilitres of bleach with water
(2) dish soap and water
(3) water alone

Do not use bleach with stainless steel bottles, it will cause them to rust. But with anything else, from glass to plastic to lexan, this will work and kill bacteria.

Your only evidence was what a scientific organization said and you didn't provide any evidence on tests they did so i must disagree. Also a very large proportion of the bad bacteria die when the bottle dries and there's no water for them to live in. Let the bottle dry a bit before reusing it if your that scared.

It is safe to use them over and over again if you wash them. But most people do not wash them, that is the problem. They think, it is only water, why do I need to wash it? But the bacteria from your mouth, say you just had a bite of a chicken sandwich with mayo, two things that both cause salmonella poisoning and then you drink from your water bottle, did you wash your mouth first? So, chances are you left bacteria on the bottle, if it then gets heated, it could become poiseness. I had a friend get violently ill from this.

I don't think that it is safe to re-use the water bottles over and over because you drink the water and then recycle the plastic bottle or just throw it away!
