I think we should let nature take its course. When a male and female reproduce there is a 1:1 ratio
of getting a male or female. By choosing it's gender, the population may become biased and
uncontrolled. |

Can we not just let nature take its course without determining the flavour of our children, |

Let mother nature do her work. It is not our right to decide what is supposed to happen naturally.
Nature knows how to keep balance but if we start to create perfect people the balance will be lost
and destruction awaits |

Choosing the sex of your child is like choosing their life for them. You have to let nature and god
do their work. |

If God wants you to have a girl, you will have a girl naturally.
If God wants you to have a boy, you will have a boy naturally. |

No, I don't think being able to choose the sex of your child is right. It is ruining the whole
amount of "fun" you have when you get pregnant. You should not be able to predetermine what the sex
of the baby is. It sounds like you are messing with destiny and that, in the end, is never a good
thing. |

It's wrong in my opinion. In many countries couples have a significant preference for one sex over
another, usually male being preferred to female. The reasons for this could vary. In certain
countries, like India, it is the social custom for the parents of a daughted to provide a
substantial sum of money ("a dowry") upon marriage. Often, this is a great financial burden. Cases
of female infanticide are known to occur because of this.
In other countries, where life is predominantly agricultural, the children may be needed to help
with practical work on the family farm. For this, males may be preferred because they are physically
stronger.
In still other countries, where females traditionally take the surname of the male upon marriage,
the sheer vanity aspect of having the family name preserved may cause parents to prefer males over
females.
Where there are restrictions on the numer of children it is possible for a couple to have, as in
China, all of these considerations apply with special force.
Making the sex of your child a matter of free choice, therefore, could lead to a population whose
composition is significantly skewed between the sexes, leading to all kinds of other problems. |

Personally i don't think it's right to choose the sex of your child. Some people cannot even
conceive, so i think we should appreciate what we are blessed with. |
