| It Is Reasonable To Think Satan Exists |
| Besides using the Bible as the reference authority on the matter, does it make sense to think that the devil exists? There are good reasons to think that immaterial, nonphysical things exist. It is reasonable that most folks recognize good and evil. Therefore, is it reasonable to believe that Satan, himself (herself), exists as well? Edit |

Satan represents Bad. And there is Bad in this world. Therefore there is a Satan. |

Until there is proof he doesn't, it is reasonable to think he does. |

It's reasonable to think so if you believe in it, at least. I believe in it, so I think he exists.
However, some people do not believe in Christianity do not believe he exists, they have a right to
do that. |

I've seen that so much relies on the foundation: Deity's existence. I can only argue the Adversary's
existence after I argue for deity, and the right deity... |

It all depends on your religion. No matter what there's 2 forces that act on everything (light and
dark) there cant be god and angels without satan and his followers. Lucipher means light bringer
because he use to be an angel, but when he wouldn't bow down to man he was thrown down into hell.
Hence an upside down cross and why dead time is at 3:00am. No matter what your religion if you
believe in light and good things there is always going to be darkness. Plus it has been an
everlasting war between light and darkness and you better not hope one wins or it will be the end of
the world. Even if light wins. We need two forces, satan and god. |

If a person believes in God then it is equally sensible to believe there is a Devil. If you don't
believe in God then it is equally sensible to NOT believe there is a Devil.
And if there is a Devil I just want to add that the red horned guy with a pitch fork is an image
produced and evolved from centuries of culture. We really have no idea how the Devil would look.
And I also want to add that the Devil neither walks the earth in physical form (God banished the
Devil so how could he?) NOR does the Devil force anyone to do anything (tempt but not force). So
when the extremely religious talk with fervor about seeing the devils hands at work there is a fine
line between passionate metaphor and delusion. Some of them really cross the line into delusion.
And I've read of people who believe there is an actual physical war going on right here on earth
between God's believers and the Devil and I think those people are dangerously on the edge of
delusion as well. Sorry, but that's what I think.
If you ever feel like picking up a gun and attacking the manifestation of evils you see around you
then please look in the mirror and then you will truly see the Devil. |

It is just as reasonable as thinking God exists. |

I don’t see why not, when concerning religion that is, unless one wants to attribute “bad”
things as being caused by the benevolent god they admire. The concept of “good” and “evil”,
the popular light versus darkness perception, is traceable throughout history, it only makes sense
that it would also be applied to religious beliefs as well. |
