Dating is not necessarily sex. Yes, you can date without revealing if you have herpes, just the
same as you can date without revealing any other secret you fear might have a negative impact up
front (your religion, your true age, a heart condition, a phobia, your tiny income, etc.).
But if it grows beyond a few dates and toward a relationship with the possibility of sex then you
have an obligation to be up front before any contact which could spread it can occur. |

the ever become intimate.

Depends on where the herpes is.
If it is between the legs, then no, I would not.
If it is on your cheek, that is just a matter of avoidance easily done.
One would not wish to put one's partner at risk.
It is similar to smoking cigarettes: Tell them, let them choose or not. |
