It Is Moral To Take Pictures Of Starving Children In Africa Especially Since The Camera Probably Cost More Than The Entire Of Their Village
I think it is good to take some pictures to raise awareness but the some of the poorest people are exploited by photojournalists just to make a name for themselves and to make money. What do you think? Is photojournalism an exploitation of the poor? People could argue that if the people consent and are paid then it's OK..but that is true of prostitution and most people would say that's immoral....may be a poor analogy but anyway what are your views?
Even though i think it is a a little crazy and you stated a valid point about the camera costing
more than the village. I think many people would pretend starvation didn’t exist if the where
forces to watch a commercial about it in between their favourite TV show.
