I can't understand the notion of not liking some one because they are fat..
Have you ever heard the saying light on their feet.?
You say fat people are lazy. Not in my experience.
I have known people who have been fat for a very long time now and like them very much and could not
describe them as being Lazy.
They often say fat people are very light on their feet.
And another small point they have had very long and productive lives. |

You’re well within your rights to feel however you want about anybody. However, I’m a big guy, a
lot of muscle and a lot of fat, and I guarantee you could not keep up with me physically or mentally
at work for a day let alone for a week. I’m the youngest person to ever make it to my position at
work and I average over 60 hours a week at my job. Additionally for the last two years my wife and I
completely reworked our home, taking much of it down to the wooden studs. We did almost all the work
ourselves. So if you don’t like fat people fine, but don’t look to us to justify your ignorant
prejudice. In summation I have a few questions.
Am I fat… yes.
Am I lazy… no.
Do I give a rat’s rear end if you like me… no. |

Its pretty counterproductive to demand someone be a different way. However, with weight if a side
is to be chosen, its pretty clearly always better to be within a certain healthy parameter. The
reason why fat people tend to get on my nerves is because it seems like they're self-conscious a lot
of the time. I was overweight when i was a kid and lost the weight. I just think it's easier to
eat comfortably than it is to admit you have a problem.
For me when i start gaining weight again i diet and exercise til i get back to my target weight then
i eat comfortably again. There are definitely people who make their weight work to their advantage
and pretty clearly don't let it bother them. I don't mind these people.
But i do think that if your overweight, your weight is an extra element of the things you worry
about people judging you on, so whether your being judged or not, your aware that you could be. I
hate getting dirty looks from fat people.
The whole genetics thing is bogus. Certain people have more complicated metabolisms but that
doesn't mean they can't lose weight. It isn't easy for anyone but the longer you wait before you
start to lose weight the harder it will be and the less motivated you will be to lose weight. I
weigh under 200 pounds now. It is incredible, constantly hard to maintain, and worth it. |

Even if someone was lazy, is that enough to make someone dislike them? Not in my opinion. Yes, some
overweight people may be lazy, but there are plenty of people who are not overweight who can be
equally lazy.
People may be overweight for many reasons. Laziness could be one of them, but people may lack the
motivation to exercise because their weight makes them lack confidence. People who are overweight
may also have medical conditions, which contribute to weight gain.
Overweight people do not cause harm. They have as much right to be around as anyone else and I fail
to see why people lack respect for them.
I noticed in your above comment that you complain about your girlfriend saying she is fat. Many
people believe this even when they aren't because they lack confidence and many people also dismiss
compliments because of this.
What really matters about a person is their personality. That is the most important thing. |

Part of it is genetics, but the majority of it is diet and lifestyle. I can't complain because I'm
lazy too. So no, I don't dislike fat people. |

No. You shouldn't judge someone by the way they look. |
