$100 a month just because it has apps?? It's service provider is AT&T which is in my opinion, one of
the worst cellphone providers when it comes to signals. I have the iPod Touch which is the same but
you don't need to pay $100 for calling people. My cellphone is the Samsung Reality from VERIZON
[Best Signal Provider] and it's great. |

A nice phone, however, it utilizes EDGE technology, rather than the newer 3G. Furthermore, it is not
available on all carriers, as Apple intended, at the moment, for it to be used with AT & T.
Furthermore, should you hack the product for use with another cell phone carrier, the firmware might
change and should you try to upgrade, new technology developed by Apple is now able to leave you
with a very expensive piece of junk, as the technology essentially locks your phone from all use
(from what I know). Furthermore, it lacks a proper keypad or, ideally, a QWERTY, and touch screens
can be hard to use. In conclusion, although there are many pros, including Wi-Fi and utilizing Mac
OSX and additionally serving as an iPod, in this situation, after examining all the facts and
arguments, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. |

Although the iPhone is a great phone and it has many great features, it also has many bad features
such as the multi-page phone bill. However, to say that the iPhone is the greatest is simply a
matter of opinion. I use Cingular and I am completely satisfied. I would personally say that
Cingular is the best, but that is my own opinion. I would not want an iPhone because I feel that
they are very complicated. I like the simplicity that Cingular offers. I agree with theseeker...the

I do not agree that the iPhone is the best phone ever. It is a good phone, I must say, but it's just
not that good in terms on technology. It has loads of high tech stuff on it, but do you really need
all them on a phone? No, I doubt it. The main reasons to use a mobile are to phone and text, so all
these upgrades and new gadgets for mobiles, are pointless. And I know, there's bound to be a phone
that'll beat the iPhone and claim the 'best' phone statement. |

It's true that the IPhone is a great phone. But just using the word 'ever' brings in a small
problem. 'Ever' includes all that is to come as well as all that has been. So in the debate
question there is a small fault because who knows what pieces of techno-marvel are yet to come.
The camera is not great on the IPhone, the camera on my phone is much better and it's only an N73.
There are some issues with the Edge network and it's quite an expensive piece to buy. Cost
implication should be considered, because it's certainly not the 'cheapest' phone ever. Usually as
part of my contract, I get the phone free, now I have to pay out almost three hundred pounds and
that makes me a little grumpy about it.
They claim to have full Internet, but I already have full Internet on my phone and my laptop and
ipod do everything that the phone does, I can even make a phone call on my laptop, but okay, it's
not got all those things together in a tiny cute package.
Do I want one? Yes. Are they the best phones ever, who will know? I will wait til the second or
third generation phone comes out before I will buy one, let them iron out the kinks first. |
