Who knows for sure? No-one, and because of that it is impossible to say otherwise. Before we built
planes people said it was impossible to fly. Well we proved them wrong. Then "it's impossible to go
into outer space." Once again, wrong. With our current technology it is not impossible but highly
improbable. But as well know technology advances and who knows, some day we may be scouting for a
new planet to live on. |

Much much sooner that that I am sure....;-) )It was just the other day I heard you could get from
Tipperary to Belfast in two and a half hours...;-) ) |

If it’s possible at all it’s possible now, but I guess you are referring to whether we will have
the technical capability to do so. I would concede that if it is possible to travel FTL and our
civilization holds together that long then probably. However I doubt any propulsion system will
allow FTL. However quantum mechanics suggest certain field and particles propagate faster than the
speed of light. If those could be induced to carry information then it could be feasible to send the
data to replicate a person in the equivalent of no time. The functions of time get pretty
mathematically sticky at this point but we still have a lot to figure out so who knows. |

Perhaps it will, but then again, how do we know? |

Yes, theoretically it should be possible. We'll just have to wait until then in that case...oh no
wait, i thought that by then humanity will have already died out Ryan! |

Recently, we have invented an ion propulsion system to be used in space ships. I am sure that this
breakthrough could well be achieved within 100 years time. |
