Intelligent Extra-terrestrial Life Probably Exists.
Virtually all natural things in the universe exist in multiples: From the largest galaxy to the smallest atom. Some scientists even theorize that our universe itself isn't unique, if this is true, why should intelligent life on earth be? Also, earth visitation isn't as ridiculous as it may seem. People tend to question: Why they would visit? Why not? We are interested in all things foreign and mysterious, is it so difficult to fathom their curiosity?

Duh! You don't know whether theres aliens or not, but judging from how little we know about the vast universe, i am convinced some how that there is something out there.

There probably is some form of intelligent life out there, i refuse to believe we're the best the universe has to offer

Definitely. The universe is huge, it's laughable to assume that we are *so* special. I believe their has to be at least one other form of intelligent life in the whole universe.

It is insane to think that in all the universe we are the only intelligent life. No way

If there are aliens, which I kind of do and don't believe, they probably have a lot of brain power if they are what they are described as. If they are shaped as a human in a way, then I would have to agree that they do.

I won’t go into the actual math again but with around a hundred and twenty five billion galaxies out there and if one out of a billion earthlike planets actually harbor life that still leaves around 6 ¼ billion planets that may harbor life. Even assuming every planet that harbors life eventually develops intelligence (a big if) that’s one planet per 20 galaxies; meaning that to visit us they would have to find us then likely have to cover galactic distances which are mind bogglingly big. Not to mention we’ve only been worth talking to for let’s say 50,000 years to be generous, out of the 14 billion year history of the universe.
To sum up;
Intelligent life… likely
Finding us… unlikely
Getting here… really unlikely
Getting here when we in our timeframe… really really unlikely

Yes, i agree with you. We are but one tiny planet in an infinitte universe. The fact that we exist is proof enough that life outside our planet exists.

Probably...but to paraphrase George Carlin, if you were an alien and you saw the types of things humans are capable of, like necrophilia, incest, rape, torture, cannibalism, etc....would you land here?

And they are coming for our WOMEN!! ;P

Anyone who can sit counting stars, knowing that each is a sun with a solar system surrounding, knowing that the naked eye only sees a tiny fraction of those suns to start with that are out there, and yet try to claim that intelligent extraterrestrial life does NOT exist may as well also insist that the world is flat.

There are hundreds of millions of billions of Atmosphere out there and so many galaxies each with there sun usually so it is a likely chance there are others out there

Of course it exists, same as there is quite likely the possibility of more primitive life existing.

The Universe is very large. And other planets have been around much longer the Earth. And it places where there is life, most of the time one species come out dominant. People just can not comprehend what happen in billions if not Trillions of years.

You've got to destroy all concepts of what we define as "life" when thinking about the notion of intelligent beings. "Aliens" could take any shape and any form that we could think of, from beings the size of an atom to monsters the size of skyscrapers to abstract intelligence riding on the wind. Anything could be possible, and with an infinite universe, there must be something out there.

Scientific evidence strongly suggests the universe is finite.

I agree the word infinite suggests there must be something out there. Especially outside this odds-on finite universe.

Zillions of planets... I think the hype about aliens visiting us is a little silly. The first thing they'd probably do is see our planet and say "holy skeet! How could anything possibly live in these conditions!?!" They sure as hell wouldn't be able to set appendage inside our atmosphere or say hello. The communication barrier would be so complex we would probably understand their minds less than we do plants'. We probably wouldn't have any idea how in the universe whatever they fly is flying..we might not even be able to see it..or them... I wouldn't be surprised at all if things like cockroaches formed in several places in the universe. Even less so if simple photosynthetic organisms like phytoplankton, algae, stromatolites...etc. Existed.

Yes, I believe this is true, but the possibility for life to exist is infinitesimal. We got lucky to get just the perfect conditions to survive. Because of this, I think Earth visitation is unlikely, because life in the universe has to be terribly sporadic.

Certainly. There are potential billions of planets in the universe, and the chance that only ours has life on is minute.

Given the infinite nature of the cosmos, probability states that all probabilities will occur an infinite number of times. Therefore, I believe that, assuming the cosmos is infinite, there must be infinite life-forms out there...somewhere.

However, just because they exist (in my opinion), this does not mean humanity will ever witness their existence! The fact that an extra-terrestrial spacecraft has never landed outside the White House does not lead to the conclusion that we are the only life-form in the cosmos! I mean think about it; an extra-terrestrial civilisation may be pondering the existence of other life-forms elsewhere in the universe (i.e. Humankind), but we have never landed on their planet - does this mean we do not exist?

It is more improbable that extra-terrestrial life doesn't exist. As many planets as there are in our galaxy alone... Much less the countless other galaxies in the universe.

Well of course, it's not like life only has the circumstances to grow on Earth. We've seen moons in our own solar system that are suited to sustain life. It wouldn't be any kind of life we could possibly imagine. Maybe not even made of up of the kind of cells we're used to, but life none the less.

According to my point of view, I personally believe that there is somewhere the life exists in a different solar system. In some form of intelligent, there must be some life in some other universe. Our scientists are working very competently in this matter. There are thousands of different solar systems in this entire universe. Among these systems, there must be a sign of life. According to Sophie1’ claim, if there would be a life in this entire universe we would have found it by now. Although there is no evidence of this fact, but it may be explored any day. That day it would not be count as the imagination. Among these thousands of solar systems there should be a single radio wave that would come one day from this system and would make the world full of chaos.

There are literally thousands of factors involved in whether life can inhabit a planet. For instance, it has to be a specific (with a range of plus or minus only a few hundred miles) distance from the sun. It needs a molten iron core to create the magnetic field necessary to deflect harmful radiation from space. It needs water - which has a unique shape (think Mickey Mouse) necessary to preserve life even if frozen. It needs a sun that is stable enough to give the planet enough time to evolve into something even remotely intelligent. It needs hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, and carbon to make organic material.

There are plenty of other factors. The rate of inhabitable planets in the universe is one in millions. The universe is finite, both in time and space. Because of how finite it is, we can narrow it down to figures measured in dozens at best that can even provide the conditions necessary for life, let alone have actual intelligent life on them.

Now, just for kicks, let's assume there are a few dozen planets with intelligent life, each scattered evenly throughout the universe. There is no possible way for them to ever interact with each other. It would take millions of years to travel between them. Even the most technologically advanced extraterrestrial civilizations cannot defy the laws of physics in order to find us. We are alone, for all practical purposes, so we may as well focus on improving life on earth, rather than try to find something out there somewhere to do it for us.

This is merely a fantasy that was initiated by a few Star Trek films in the 20th century.
There is no foreign life on Mars as proven by numerous unmanned shuttle examinations.
Also, almost all reported UFOs were identified as aircraft etc. And I believe we all know that many of the ones that were not identified were started by an attention-seeking person.
As well, there is a multitude of ingenious photographers who can easily fake shots of UFOs or aliens.
Furthermore, Area 51 makes for a great scary story but this location does not hold any new creatures. This information undoubtedly would have been leaked out again, by an attention-seeking person.
Lastly, your argument is invalid as all "some", or in your case "probably", statements are invalid.
All in all, there is no proof of alien life forms.

Aliens do not exist simple as that even if they did why are we so concerned they are not in our solar system, maybe not in our galaxy if they exist then they could actually be more of a threat we do not need them

The odds of there being other life in the Universe is very likely, the odds of it being intelligent enough to try contacting us, not so likely. You need time for intelligent life to evolve and take root, intelligence such as ours has only been in existence for about 200,000 years. We've been finding life on this planet in some of the most inhospitable places, from extremes of hot to extremes of cold. Life has come up in places with little or no oxygen, no sun, in acidic pools, you name it life probably can be found in every corner of the earth. So who's to say that life can't survive in an extreme environment on another planet, or even somewhere else in our own solor-system. I'm not saying that it can't be intelligent life, I'm just saying the odds of it being intelligent are not good.

actually the chances of them being more intelligent then us is more likely then not.(saying they evolved at generally the same rate). the univere is 14 billion years old. earth is only 4 billion. which mean earth came to be when the universe was 10 billion years old. so even if their planet came to be when the universe was 91/2 billions years old(let alone their other 91/2 before that) they'd be more intelligent then us. on top of that if theirs one there probably billions of them the the chances of them ALL being less intelligent then us is stupid to believe.

I'm sure that if it did exist we would have found it by now.
We've sent out space probes and satellites for years now and there is still no concrete evidence that intelligent lifeforms exist anywhere else than on earth. This is a bit frightening as we fall short of being perfect examples of anything.
Perhaps in many years to come other universes may be discovered which have intelligent life , perhaps they do exist and we haven't found each their yet but I doubt it.

I don't believe in visitors from outer space. I think this is media or government propaganda. It is a form of control by fear.
Being captured by aliens seems to run in cycles and this has all gone quite in recent years. I think some of these claims are a manifestation of what is wrong in peoples lives and the world at large.
I hope I'm not captured by aliens now for saying this.
