In The Future There Will Be Hover Cars And Other Technology They Say They May Have
How know people didn't think they could even have plaines but we have them

I predict that flying cars will generally be used by a vast percentage of the population by the year 2067.

I think it's possible for someone to invent anything, given the time, brainpower and resources.

The famous author Jules Verne from France written in one of his science fictions that flying in sky can be possible and he sketched this much before the invention of first airplane. At the mid of 19th century he wrote the story and the Wright brothers made their dream of flying high with the help of airplane true in the year of 1903. So I am saying this in the context of our beliefs upon our science which can be made to be materialistic. Our technology is moving ahead everyday and the day is not so far when will tour in our hover car in the sky and would park it after the journey safely in our garage. The scientists are all set to make it happen in near future and we will have our own hover car that will be driven on sky without getting any traffic jam.

Umm there already are flying cars. Technology has tremendously improved over the years. Cave men didn't think there would be matches. Matches are now used like everyday. No one thought there could be more than five channels on the tv. Try 1000! They are now making laptops like the Mac Air one (yeah, i don't know exactly what its called, but its something like that). Most definitely I agree,as long as we stay at this rate of improving technology, future applications can go beyond our dreams.

I think we will definitely have something along those lines of cars. Cars change every year and eventually someone could design and market a hover car. If they can prove a hover car to be highly economical, cost efficient, comfortable and convenient, it will definitely be designed and offered to the public. Car makers are constantly seeking a way to create an environment friendly car. If the hover car can be environmentally friendly, it will soon be discovered. Anything is possible in today's world. I would love to see a hover car. Imagine...no more flat tires or worn out tires. What a great idea.

Your last two sentences suggest that hover cars would be easier to maintain. That is highly unlikely, given all the complex systems a car would need to hover safely.

And there's another issue: Safety. You thought a lot of people died in car crashes these days? Try to survive colliding with a hover car in mid-air, falling who-knows-how-far, and possibly taking other cars down with you that had been flying at lower altitudes.

I don't know why everyone uses "hover cars" as a symbol of the future. I'd be more inclined to believe someone will invent teleportation and the whole concept of "cars" will be a thing of the past.

For some reason, people seem to think the future will be full of the same technology we have now, only improved. E.g. Cars improved to be able to hover. That is not the way technology generally advances over long periods of time.

Take the Internet for example. 50 years ago, people thought that by 2008 we would have hover cars and 3D television, but not many people would have understood the concept that some day people could sit in front of TV-like boxes and debate topics with complete strangers that live thousands of miles away. But here I am, doing just that.

Yes, I believe that the vision that was previously had of flying cars, was that everyone would have one, and cars would be flying about everywhere in abundance, with little or no ground traffic. This is evidently not at all the case.

Also, ti give another example, there were visions that there would be possibly be established space travel, over large distances in space. The closest we have come to this is with Richard Branson's Virgin One spacecraft, which a handful of lucky people will be able to fly in for something in the region of $100,000-$200,000 dollars, and experience zero gravity in 'space' above the Earth.

Though these are only a couple of examples, I believe that future predictions regarding technological development and actual implementation into everyday life are often incorrect, sometimes horrifically so. With respect to the issue of space travel, for example, I do not reasonably foresee this becoming commonplace within the time remaining of human existence on Earth, or perhaps in many hundreds of years.

In the 70's they thought we'd have jetpacks flying into space by the new lelenium 2000 but look at us mow. We haven't made all that much progress since then and this is basically the same idea

Futurologists have been going on about flying cars since the 1950s, and more than half a century later we are still no closer to realising that notion. Mass transport by flying car is unlikely to happen. And quite rightly too. There are enough numpties driving around at ground level without letting them take to the air and cause even greater havoc.

While the idea of flying cars may sound attractive as a means to beat traffic congestion on our roads, it ain’t going to happen any time soon. In fact, the likelihood of a car that flies runs the same odds as us replacing our meat and two veg with a pill.
