The vikings had it right: Drinking with your pals and some Valkyries for eternity. Sign me up!
But for the actual topic, I'd hate to be a ghost, living forever, but eternally tormented by what
you can't have. Living forever in Hell would also suck, unless referring to the small town, which
might be okay. |

Amen. That's the same basic reason why few people would want to live their mortal life forever.
Mortal life even has plenty of good to it, but if you consider the immensity of living forever and
all the things you don't like or find burdensome with life then even living your mortal life
indefinitely loses all lustre. |

Oh definately. Who wants to experiance suffering for years and years? Death is an important part of
our lives. We all have to die at some point. We do have fear of dying, but we do want to at least
rest in peace. |

Of course.
Some goofballs see the word paradise and can't make it paradise for themselves.
They crack me up. You have to one feebleminded, miserable human to not to be able to define paradise
for yourself.
Or you have to be simply so eaten up with agenda that you can't leave yourself open to such thought
because it would suggest you are wrong about something.
I think I'm going with the second one for a few of the "I can't imagine paradise" because I suck
regulars.
But even though I suck so bad I can't imagine paradise for myself, I'll insist everyone else sucks
to the point of there being no such thing.
But none of us suck if we don't have the ability to imagine paradise for ourselves. That makes us
realists.

You know it. Would suck just live a painful existence. |

The chase is better than the catch. Knowing that life is a one-shot deal makes living it to the
full that much more important.
Edit:
Is moreno suggesting that the poor in third world countries do or should spend their days praying
instead of farming or migrating to better land? The only reason most don't is they are political
prisoners by borders and soldiers instead of nomads as they once were.
Those who do nothing but pray all day and expect others to feed them are "rice bags and hangers on"
as buddhists call them.
Even when the poor can do nothing and have no resources, do they sit around and cry, or do they
attempt to find ways to get out of their situation and ask for help? To claim that unfortunate
people in the third world make no attempt to better their lives is to call them "welfare kings"
waiting for a handout.
The only people who don't try to improve their lives are people who live in luxury and never to know
for want. |

Even if it is paradise, its useless if you are alone, with no friends, no family, and stuff |

What is your definition of Paradise? Praying to someone for eternity? Really? Is that truly
Paradise or a God with an ego problem? |
