I don't think illegals hold as much threat to Americans as our own politicians or these greedy
corporations whose sole purpose is to find loopholes and cause Americans so much money... Illegals
do jobs that many Americans refuse to do.... |

I’m from Kansas and Hispanic immigrants have saved many small towns here. They were disappearing
off the map but immigrants started coming in and made a place in the community and helped make small
town Kansas economically viable again. So say what you want but you won’t find many people around
here that would let you kick our friends, neighbors, and vital members of our community out of the
country. |

I agree. Illegal immigrants are not here to harm anyone or take away anything from anyone. They are
simply here to work and support their families. They are no different than any other person. All
they want is a better life for themselves and their families and there is no crime in wanting that
and going for it. Americans should be proud to know that their country is so great that everyone in
the world wants to be a part of it. Americans should be good citizens and open their arms and doors
and allow the illegals in. They should help them settle in, find work and start building their new
life. We need to start helping these immigrants and quit hating them for wanting to better
themselves. Punish them if they do a real crime such as robbery, murder, or something like that. I
think it is great that they want to have a better life. They are just humans like everyone else. |

We the people who were born in America are all descendants of immigrants. Even Native American
Indians came from somewhere;Eskimos, across the Aleutian Islands? I live in a heavy Hispanic
neighborhood. There are perhaps many illegals who have slipped in with family to live in their
homes, work. I see pride in homes where their labor skills adorn their homes. Old houses,
cookie-cutter styles are being bricked or faced with stone that one would see in high-end new
construction, changing the flavor of the neighborhood for the better. I do take issue with
overcrowding. Too many auto's requiring a tax burden to improve road construction to handle all the
excess traffic. Overall I see pride, tidy homes, yards and fairly well-behaved children who rarely
ever run amok. |

I don't think they should be kicked out. Especially if they haven't done anything besides try to
have a descent life. No offense to anybody but I know I wouldn't want to live in Mexico, it's hard
to get jobs there, and their justice system is not very good. |

As a self-proclaimed Conservative, I part ways with most of my fellows on this issue.
I believe a form of amnesty should be granted to the illegals that are here.
However, illegal immigration is a problem that has to be stopped. There is a simple solution to
this as well. Finish the fence as a deterrent (it won't stop everyone). Then remind the Mexican
gov't that we are at war and that our borders are not a joke. Remind them that we are unfortunately
not at war with a uniformed military, but rather cowards dressed as civilians. Let them know that
the next illegal crossing will be considered an act of aggression on their part and that they can
expect a swift and decisive regime change in Mexico.
I assure you, this would stop the "flood". |

I agree. People that immigrate into the state most likely want a better life. I don't think there is
anything wrong with that. |

Technically, I believe that they should be. They can go home to their own country, apply for
citizenship here, wait, and come over legally. We shouldn't encourage them by doing absolutely
nothing about the issue. |

Oh yeah they should be sent back to their native country!! They are in violation of the law and
should be punished for it. For all of you who say no, your giving an argument to letting those who
commit other ILLEGAL activities to go unpunished! |

Yes they should, they're here illegally. If we don't enforce our immigration laws there's no point
to having immigration laws. |

Illegal immigrants should indeed be kicked out, they are violating our most basic laws by being here
without legal authority. Nations have a right, and in fact a responsibility, to control who lives
and works within their borders and those who cannot respect those laws are criminals. For all the
whining that goes on about the plight of the illegals, they should just stay in their native
countries and work to improve the situation there, rather than coming here and lowering our standard
of life. |

If you haven't noticed they DON'T have to pay all the money in taxes like real citizens do. Is that
fair? Should they really get to use our parks and go to our schools and use our libraries and
everything else if they don't even pay taxes to help make those places better? I don't know, that
doesn't sound very fair to me. |

When they talk about illegal immigration, they are speaking of south of the border.
Fact: The US has been recognized as the land of opportunity for decades.
Fact: It is not separated from its neighbor to the south by an ocean.
Fact: Its neighbor to the south has not been recognized for decades as the land of opportunity.
Quite the contrary.
Fact: US employers in large economic sectors such as agriculture and construction have knowingly
been using "illegal immigrants" for cheap labor for decades. These employers have purposefully not
obeyed the rules of this country and law makers have knowingly turned a blind eye towards the
injustice.
Fact: A person from south of the border who can readily be illegally employed in the US would be an
idiot not to take the job.
Fact: If anyone should have to pay, it should be the American citizens who illegally created and
cultivated the immense problem so many people face.
Fact: NO WAY |

Bull. Illegal immigrants are a big prob. In the U.S. And cost us more than there cheap labor can
make up for. We need to send them all back if there is a way. |

I believe that, yes people who are immigrants can come to America, after all, that is what America
was founded on, but if you come here as an immigrant at least do it legally, i think that coming to
America illegally should not be allowed and that any illegal immigrants should go and become
citizens; all you have to do is fill out some forms, take a test and wait a littlebit. |

If they are illegal immigrants, by definition they have no right to be there. What do you propose to
do? Create a rule that anyone who can get into your country automatically acquires the right to stay
there? Won't this just encourage even more people to come from abroad?
Even a one-time amnesty would create an expectation of more "one-time" amnesties in future,
encouraging the flow of illegal immigrants. If their presence in the country hasn't been sanctioned,
they should be removed. It's as simple as that. |
