For sure! You cant just leave you opinion hanging their for people to stomp all over it you gotta
stand strong with your belief and stick with it don't give in stay with the point you have stated. |

I agree your argument is not riddled with holes. That's what the personal inbox is for:, set a date
and time when you can get back to a debate, prob is there are far too many debates, which are not
debates at all they're issues people want to raise, and rightly so. However, I feel it would be
better if there was a search done for a debate where these issues could be delivered. Sow all the
threads up into relevant debates. Prob is point scoring, better to be a recognised debater, than a
baby debator? Points make prizes or so they say!! So the debates go on bit like a fast breeder
reaction rather than nuclear fusion! If you get my drift? |

There is far too much junk on this website from when people have just given up on a debate that
didn't have any responses in the first few days. |

I can see how it is good to comment on people's responses to your debate. Although you could end up
with dozens of comments and the debate will seem as though it may never end, a bit like that debate
between me and Sceptic101! But I do think it is good to leave comments, as it proves that the person
who created the debate has a proper opinion and didn't create the debate just for the sake of
earning points. |

I do, but people never comment on my debate for me to comment back |

I think I may have dug myself a hole now. I am starting to think I may have been wrong in some
cases. From now on I will have to reply to everything I write to avoid being a hypocrite. |

Indeed; so many people start debates that they don't actually feel strongly about. I also think some
debates deserve to be remembered, but are replaced by ridiculous ramblings of incompetent members of
the site. |

I often just throw the topic out there and hope people enjoy it. If you don't have the interest, but
believe other will I don't see anything wrong with that. |

On this site it's hard because I work, have kids, etc. So I try to pop in when I can and give my 2
cents but I know I miss a lot. |

There are times when i will have no strong feelings toward one side or another, but would really
like to see how things would play out. I am interested in seeing both sides of an issue and it
might help me with my own position. I just like to sit back and see how it will unfold. |

This is a one dimensional form of debating. |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
Sometimes, as proposer of the debate, you can say everything you want to say in the supporting
argument. Not all comments are worth replying to. In fact, most usually are insubstantial. Also,
sometimes it can seem a little oppressive and neurotic when the person who proposed the debate
originally replies to every single response. And this can put people off replying at all, if they
know that the debate was started by a wackjob who will respond harshly to every dissent. |
