| If our soldiers left Afghanistan the Taliban would control Afghanistan and terrorists would be able to use it as a 'safehouse' |

I agree the British army is doing a good job in sorting out what the American mucked up if they left
then Afghanistan would be left in the ahdnsd of opium drug barons etc. Which i not good for the
world at all |

I agree. Emotions have run high in relation to the involvement of British and US troops in both
Afghanistan and Iraq.
Apart from, Saddam was a bad man I do not know why the coalition invaded Iraq. I believe that the
situation is very different in Afghanistan. Afghanistan was/is a haven for Al Qaeda terrorists. The
West quite rightly wanted to break the terrorist networks and bring those involved in these acts to
justice. The only way to achieve that was by supporting the Afghan Govt with armed forces. |
