If you can work out the inherent legal difficulties of such an arrangement, then I have no problem
with it. However, currently we just don't have any applicable case law or idea how such things
would work out.
Why stop there? The transvestites! The sex changes! The hermaphrodites! The miscellaneous genders!
Why stop at gays!? What is marriage for by that point?

divorce and maybe even adoption up because the more gays etc., that can marry the more will want to have kids and the chance of everyone being able to have kids is pretty high so they adopt.
You know if it was simply because it had been because it was a sin in some religious book then I would have been on the agree side but it is because of the logical ramifications that I am against it. Is it not also in the bible that eating shellfish and getting your hair cut is an abomination? Do you want to make these illegal. I never see any of you hard core Christains campaigning against these things. Why is it you religious fundies try to force and impose your religious beliefs on everyone else? It gets old and boring very quickly.
In my opinion you can't compare same sex marriage and polygamy. At least with gay marriage it still
fulfils the purpose of marriage. That being a union of two people excluding all others and bestowing
equal rights upon the pair. Polygamy obviously cannot do this and is completely unfair.
.Polygamy is full of legal ramifications and obvious ethical issues. If polygamy was made legal in
Western countries how would tax breaks work? Now think of the involvement of children. Say for
example there were one woman, many men and children. What if someone wanted to divorce, who gets
custody.Who would get the rights to the child, you would get a lot of court cases with step fathers
and mothers claiming they derserve certain rights over the child.
If you use the Islamic countries as models to making polygamy legal in Western countries tehn you
will see that most the time it is one man and many women. It is usualy yo uphold a cultures
tradition of abusing women and children. There are correlations seen in the culture of polygamy of
murder and child slavery. It is completely against the human rights of women and children.
Obviously the supposed advantages are far outweighed by the disadvantages. This is backed up by
