| Christians send missionaries to foreign nations both to do charity and to spread Christianity. Most consider it kind and thoughtful acts. However, if other foreign religious groups came to the USA to do the same thing most Christians would be angry. Imagine Muslim, Buddhist, Confucianism, Hindi, Santeria, Voodoo, Animist, etc missionary churches, schools, and hospitals in rural Appalachia, Ozarks, Plains, etc. We'd think they have a lot of nerve coming here and trying to influence our most destitute. Some Christians might resort to violence, arson, or restrictive lawmaking to try to drive them out. |
