If Life As We Know It Was Not Created, Then It Must Have Always Existed...;-)
Maybe we have several life spans and several chances on this planet to materialise into something spiritual that can head onwards towards the stars?

As long as you include the possibility that life may have more or less created itself then the logic of that statement is internally consistent.

The "debate" is predicated on the limited knowledge of the speaker. Just because he hasn't experienced something within his lifetime doesn't mean it hasn't or can't happen.

Quantum theory has shown that the Big Bang happened, and that matter and anti-matter both exist in equal amounts. The sum of material in the existing universe is zero, eventually to be consumed in the Big Crunch (or "Gnab Gib", as Douglas Adams called it in "The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy").

It is a logical statement: Either life was created or it always existed. The only problem with that is it doesn't account for spontaneous generation of life, which may or may not be possible but if indeed it is possible then that would disprove that it had to always have existed.

All life eats, breathes, reproduces, and dies, correct?
Here's one for you to ponder Grenache, where does the best fertiliser in the world come from? Ans: Volcanic ash.
Where does volcanic ash come from?
Fire!
Look up into the heavens, fire has always existed in the stars.
Conclusion: The stars have always existed, therefore, life has always existed.

Question is, is this a true syllogism?
