People tend to believe their lies, simply because that is what they want the truth to be. When they
repeat and repeat the lie it reiterates what they want themselves and others to believe. |

This is true, i've seen it happen and in my younger and more immature days i may ahve even did this
myself.
Its just that you convince yourself that your right and not in the wrong, and when people belive you
you then get the ego to keep on doing it. "Glory Seeking" |

There's no such thing as absolute truth, this is absolutely true, I believe this, am I telling
myself a little white lie? I think not, however, some people do lie, and believe it to be true. How
sad!....;-( |

I've seen it happen, or have I? Maybe they argue so effectively they convince you into thinking that
they know it's the truth, that’s just one step from actually persuading you into believing that it
is the truth, or maybe they do begin to convince themselves. What if it is the truth? I’m sure it
does happen though. |

Yeah I've known people who lived this world of lies too; eventually they convince themselves. |

Totally agree, i use to be married to someone who was a master at turning Mendacity into reality.
It just becomes as typical as breathing for them after a while, and as gottfried says the real
person is smothered by the need to keep all the lies straight until they become the lie. |

True. In many cases. They can't help but not separate themselves from reality. This is denial, or a
pathological liar. They take what's true and must interpret it a certain way, provided, you get
spin.
Aristotle had something about this, when you do something unethical, you create two persons. The
good person that exists before the unethical action, and the person created after the unethical
action.
I believe in that fervently. I call what is unethical sin though... |

They are just afraid to admit they are wrong. Doesn't mean they believe it. I deal with people
like this all the time. |
