Sorry to read about your wife having it off with a medium, sounds like he was certainly on the job,
as you suggest. I bet he is laughing his socks off! Guess if you punch him on the nose you could
possibly say that you have hit a happy medium....;-) Can't say I'm suprised. |

Some mediums have large events and focus on the afterlife. I've been to a few with my mom and
sister while we were on vacation and they kind of wanted me to come along. The only one who I can
recall the name of is Sylvia Brown. She does do personal readings, but at these large events, she
just picks a few people to come up and ask her one question at the end. The rest of the time she
focused on the afterlife and she is comforting to a large number of people who show up and seem to
follow her around the country. I'm not convinced that she can or does communicate with the dead,
but the comfort and peace she brings to those who are fearful of death and dying is notable. For
those who believe that we can communicate with those who have passed, she is a comfort to them as
well. I know she was to my mom and my sister. I have to admit, I was even a bit comforted because
I wanted to be. I miss my father very much and I worried that I had not spent enough time with him
before he became very ill. She said that he understood. I don't have a clue as to whether or not
she has any possible way of communicating with spirits, but hearing that did make me feel better
even with my doubts about that kind of thing. I will say this much, at one of the "seminars" that
we went to, I felt chills and the hair on my neck was standing up as the medium was communicating
with someone who had been murdered and a few other times. I left the room and went outside. Each
time I went in, the uneasy feeling came back. It could have meant nothing. It could be because my
religious beliefs are such that I don't believe God lets our loved ones come and go from Heaven and
I don't know why they would even want to leave Heaven in the first place. My reaction, however, is
not what mattered. My mom and sister have left these events feeling more at peace than when they
walked in. I have teased them a bit, but I'm actually happy that they found comfort. Now that my
mom has stopped all artificial nutrition and hydration and I know she will not be with us much
longer, I'm glad that she is not fearful of passing because she has more faith that she will be
going to see my dad and all of her loved ones again. I had not doubted that anyway, but she had
some doubts about things and this helped her. It can't be that bad if it gave her more peace in her
last days. While verum speculated that it could become a problem for people later on in life
because they would have to reconcile their grief in a more realistic manner (not quite sure how he
put it...I read it last night), I haven't seen her or my sister have even a single doubt about what
they were told and what they heard from those mediums. Even my faith in God was a bit weak after
losing my father. Right after his passing, I had a bit of a crisis of faith. I didn't have the
belief in mediums that my mom and sister do, but it might have helped me a bit. My faith is
stronger and more mature now, but we all can have our moments that we want something more tangible
than faith can possibly allow. For those people and at those times, perhaps mediums who focus on
the peace of the afterlife can help bring us back to the realization that our loved ones are not
gone forever from us. We will see them again one day. *** I am not preaching to anyone without
that belief....just my opinion on faith and the experience I felt the mediums provided for my family
who are believers. *** |

I would be scared to go to a medium for this reason. I don't believe in them and don't want to
believe in them. So if I went, that means I was weakening toward them, and maybe I would become
obsessed in something I know is unhealthy to do.
I have a perfect and foolproof method of finding out what is going to happen. I WAIT. When I see
what happens, I think, "Yes, that is what was going to happen." Works unerringly every single time. |

Fear or Faith is the real debate here. Fear comes from the insecurity caused by not knowing what is
going on, Inferiority makes a person do things they would not normally do to try to find security,
like consulting a medium. Faith is knowing what is going on and trusting God and what His Word
says. Clearly God's Word warns us against such things as seeking mediums. There is no way to have
faith apart from the one True God and you cannot fake faith. God's Spirit will witness with your
spirit and you KNOW it is God. That knowing comes ONLY through Jesus Christ. All other god
imitators are demonic strongholds that captivate people through fear, by the lies and doctrines of
demons. Using darkness to find answers never ends in a true knowing. Every man feels the need to
be reconcilled to God and that need is real, but men look to other things or gods to fill that need.
Apart from God you really can't know. Religions are man's way to fake righteousness before God and
their works are their hope of God's acceptance. But God does not change his word for religion or do
gooders. He made one way, Christ Jesus. Only in Christ do we have power over the devil and the
kingdom of darkness. It is not a limited way, it is the only way. Works do not save you. You get
saved and then you do works because you want to please your Father and you love all men. You don't
tell others they have to do works to get saved, you tell them about the love of Jesus. You also
hate evil, not the men who do evil. Government and laws are for the evil, not the righteous. We do
what is right for God, not because there is a law. Messing around with the supernatural without
wisdom can definitely lead to serious spiritual and natural problems as the devils works are
killing, stealing and destroying. He comes as an angel of light, sharing partial truth just so he
can get you to give up your right to your own will. We all have a right to become a son of God.
(Romans 8) The moment you become a son of God satan is afriad of you instead of you being afraid of
him, IF, you have the knowledge of God's Word to bind and loose. Knowledge of your rights as a son
of God is important. Satan knows your rights and his only hope to defeat you is to keep you from
learning your rights and using the authority of God to put him under your feet. You will serve the
devil as a slave if you play in his domain and the spiritualists such as witches (white or dark)
warlords, mediums and such serve the Kingdom of Darkness, as do all religions that reject Jesus
Christ as God come in the flesh. The demons know your past and all of your ancestors because the
familiar demons of the human race can speak and act like the people they are familar with. They
know men better than all of the psychology and religions of the world combined. Man's intelligence
is limited by darkness. However, men who become a slave of God become men who are free, because
where Jesus is there is a Spirit of Liberty. Not liberty to do evil, because choosing evil makes
you a slave to evil. Liberty to choose to do good without evil having power over your will. In
Jesus we have authority over all of the power of the devil. If this angers you, that is a clue it
is not you who is angry too. Arguing with yourself is not true, you are arguing with a lying spirit
who uses your first person. You can do what is right before God in Christ and you don't have to
argue with any thought. You have power to take your mind captive to truth of God's Word and you
have the Mind of Christ where all of the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden for you to
find in Christ. Apart from Christ your eyes are blinded by satan and the veil is removed only in
Christ. The Kingdom of God is not about eating and drinking, but of righteousness and peace in the
Holy Spirit.. Also know this, your emotions are fickle and if your choices have given demons a
right to torment you, they use your emotions like a puppeteer uses strings, to drive you to do
things you don't want to do. Those who do evil have given up on themselves and given themselves
over to the darkness that was not meant for them. All men what is love. It is God's ove that we
want and it His will that all be saved, but our free will is totally within our power to choose.
Pray for one another so you can be strong to do what is right and then Christ will give them the
strength to win against the lying powers of darkness. The demons have power over you only because
you choose to believe in the lies they tell you. Seeking wisdom from a medium is a trap of satan

I think it's unsafe, mentally speaking, to avoid reality; no matter how cold and grim it may seem
everyone must except that whats done is done, especially in terms of the deceased. Anything but the
truth will someday, further down the road, act as salt in a re-opened wound. |
