All The God People Would Get Off This Site.
It seems when ever there is a discussion about anything, a christian pops up to remind us that if it's not in the bible it can't be true. Fine, I'm really pleased for you that you've got your answer.. But surely this is about human debate and life experiences, thoughts or answers or points of view you have discovered, not force fed from a book.. Ban them all I say..

I don't think they should be banned. But I don't think that the bible should be used or quoted as proof or back-up in an argument as I feel it contradicts itself in so many places.

The bible falls in line with wherever the person reading it wants it to fall in line... What i find frustrating is when you cite the bible to show that it isn't perfect and that the bible accepts this about itself and they get mad... Or if you use the bible after you have claimed not being theistic then they tell you you don't have the right to do that because you don't belong to the club... But you know if i'm not getting into your heaven already i think ill just go ahead and use a quote, thanks

I don't care that you quote the Bible just make sure it backs up what your saying and make sure you put the verse into context before putting it on because you can take anything out of context and make it mean anything you want it to. so go ahead quote the bible but with me though i would like it if you put the reference on it.

You do have a right to defend your beliefs but why is the Bible the only way you can defend yourselves? I'm sure there are a lot of Christians on this site and I'm not saying to ban them but to let them see there is more to the world that just the Bible and I'm not saying ALL Christians do this...

No matter how annoying they can get...

As long as they don't go verbally assaulting other people, they're allowed to do it.

To Scorpion: No, I didn't mean to say it as if they were pagans. I mean to say it as people who always use the "But god said..."
Theory.
Just because you disagree with me, you are not a they. :D

as long as "They" the ones who are pagan or whatever, don't go verbally assaulting..........assuming all who disagree with YOU are referred to as a "They".

First of all, that would be limiting the essential liberty of freedom of speech.
Secondly, what exactly would you say is a "god Person"? It's not very clear. Is that someone, religious or not who always uses the Bible as the foundation of his argument? If so, then that would mean that not all religious people count as God people. As well, does that term include Muslims, hindu's, deists, etc.?
Thirdly, Are you saying that the Bible should never be used as an authority in a logical debate? What if the logical debate is concerning a Biblical principle?
I think you have some problems with your affirmation.

So you think a person should be discriminated against for their religion? I guess you are not a fan of the U.S. Constitution.

There are plenty of people around who might not be Christian yet hold those values, and don't keep referring to biblical quotations.

If you wish to belong to a sight where only non Christians debate, then I am sure you can find one.

But their so funny, coming up with irrational theories and the same old debate over and over, it makes it a good laugh.

And seriously no matter how deluded or irrational everyone has the right to state their opinion and join in with these debates.

I disagree. And honestly if you where to get all of the "God People" off this site you would be no better than Adolf Hitler! Plus not we don't always use the Bible. So i think anyone Pregidous against "God People" as you say should be kicked off because most people don't stand up for things like that anymore

I happen to be a christian. And, I happen to disagree that we should be kicked off in mass. Just like I don't think that atheists or agnostics should be kicked off in mass. I think that a lot of what is said on this site is personally insulting to me as a christian, but I would never suggest that those individuals should be kicked off. I think that is a pretty closed minded statement and I would question why you are here. I also don't like the fact that I am lumped in with a select group of individuals that happens to be fanatical about their faith and want to shove it down other people's throats. It is kind of like saying all Muslims are terrorists. I would prefer it if rather than assaults all Christians you refer to those minority fanatics just as such, fanatical extremists. There are also fanatical extremist atheists/agnostics/Jews/Muslims etc.

Are you just going to ban anyone that disagrees with you? That is biased and maybe you should get kicked off the site. Arguments like that are what ruins this for everyone.

Unfortunately you have come to an open debate site and don't want to accept others views. Hmmm seems to negate the reason to be at a debate site.

I think everyone should have an open enough mind to as least consider that the truth one holds is not necessarily the truth of the rest. If it were then there would not be a need for a debate site.

Maybe you just need to talk a break from religious or possibly religious topics.

There are more christians on this site than anything and banning them would just bring down most votes.

You need to stop with the criticism.

I disagree. If all the religion followers left this site, there would be very little going on, seeing as any religious based debate seems to attract the most attention by far.

Of course not. But i wish they were not so embarrassing. I consider myself a person of faith, and i cringe at most of the posts written by so many Christians here.
