I am a huge fan of Goodwill. I know it doesn't sound all that great, but it is actually a very good
place to shop. The clothes are cheap and you can usually find name brand clothing. I have been very
pleased with what I have purchased from here. Another good thing about these clothes is that you
don't have to worry about them shrinking or being discolored because more than likely they have been
washed beforehand with the last owner. Goodwill has other things besdies clothing too. They have
purses, accessories, furnishings, etc. I think it is a great one stop shopping place. And you won't
spend a fortune. When you leave, you will be amazed at how little money you spent for all that you
got. |

I Love Thrift stores. It doesn't have to a Goodwill store. I have found some fantastic clothes in
great shape while shopping a thrift store. Bargain pricing, donations going to a good cause. What is
there not to like? I frequent Humane society thrift stores too. They sell clothing and books, other
goodies for the house and body. It's an all around great deal, but i still order from the mail as
well. Maybe one out of a hundred items are flawed when i rcv my order, but that's o.k..I'm good at
returning items in the mail as well!.. |

Certainly, what would be wrong with it? |

Definitely. If the stores take safety precautions and wash all their 2nd hand clothes before they
sell them--I think the idea is really good. People need places where they can get more for their
dollar. To some people, clothes are unimportant and need that money for other things. If there are
more places that sell inexpensive clothes, and the people themselves don't care if the clothes were
used, why not? |

I agree there are so many people who can afford to get good quality clothes and have to pay so much
which when you go to good will you can get that but usually under $3.00 |

I think more goodwill or as we call them here, Charity Shops or second hand shops would be a great
idea.
So few shopping centres have many charity shops and it would certainly encourage more people to use
them if they had better access to them.
Second hand clothes shops can be very good and offer high quality clothes at low prices and this
means everyone has a chance to buy .
I think people who can afford to buy a lot of clothes and goods should be encouraged to put them
into charity and second hand shops when they're finished with them. This would be a good way of
re-cycling clothes and goods and also allowing others to have the chance to buy them whilst perhaps
donating to charities too.
Some towns have a lot of charity and second hand shops and others seem to have very few so perhaps
local communities could encourage them and promote them much better. I think the local rates and
rents put some people off having them so perhaps they could attract special rates?
It's a great idea. |

There is a difference between good will stores charity shops and thrift shops. As far as I know good
will depends on the charity of others, if that is the case, fine. What I object to is that more and
more charity has become big business. The same rules should apply to them that apply to the rest of
us in business. If our profit margins were 100% we could give to good causes. Instead we must
compete with people who have a different set of rules. |

They are so annoying and disorganised and no one ever gives away much good stuff so the normal shops
are best |

Well to compare brand new clothes with second hand ones will not be an act of intelligence because
brand new clothes are always better than the older ones. In cases of second hand ones you never get
the chance to know as how many years that particular clothing has been used and also by whom.
Whether that person was alright or not, whether he or she had any skin problem or not, whether used
to maintain that dress properly or not. Thus in no way Good Will stores should be encouraged and
always brand new clothes should be given much more importance. It also helps in getting the perfect
fittings for a person and you can also be sure of the fact that you are not open to any unknown skin
diseases. |
