100% ridiculous that they have a extremely low limit of consoles sent to each store with as many
customers that are searching for one...People are upset because they don't want to pay ebay price
and in a way Nintendo loses money for that... |

I think they should because of the customers, as has been said by Flash below. |

I agree that they should produce enough units to meet the demands. If you are not going to meet the
demand, then why bother putting the gaming system out in the first place. It is not fair to the
consumer. When I go out shopping for something and I cannot find what I am looking for, I will lose
interest in the product. I figure that if the company is not willing to make enough for everyone to
buy, then why should I be willing to spend my hard earn money on it. Eventually, the Wii will be a
game of the past and you'll be able to buy it on eBay for a couple of dollars. So, why bother making
the manufacturer richer when they are not interested in producing it. It is crazy and I believe that
it is very poor selling tactics. It almost appears as if the manufacturer knows nothing about supply
and demand. Could they really be that stupid? |

Definitely. It's clearly not a matter of manufacturing power, they've got the ability to PRODUCE
many more Wii's. It's just supposed to be a marketing strategy to keep Wii's in high demand because
of the lack of stock, but it's being rude to the consumer, and if people get tired of Nintendo
playing "hard-to-get" (literally), they will quit wanting to buy a Wii. |

I agree, it's amazing how they like to put stipulations, and time frames on these expensive objects.
If you have to wait for one, they should discount it, at least!
-try eBay if you still haven't gotten one. |

The persistent shortage does seem amazing to me. I remember there was a similar situation the
Christmas before. It's perhaps understandable that there might be a shortage one time around if the
console has just been released and factory production hasn't really ramped up yet. But it's
incomprehensible that it should still persist one year later. I mean how hard is it to just start up
another factory or expand the number of machines and workers in existing factories? |

You were trying to AROUND CHRISTMAS? You thought... You would get a Nintendo wii... Around
CHRISTMAS!? I mean yeah ya know sure! I wish it were true and that it was possible but Nintendo
knows what they're doing... But CHRISTMAS!
??
You were surprised about this? Why do you think your kid wanted one so bad? I mean they're awesome
but the hype was built around nobody having one... It was so planned out but unforeseeable... I
don't think Nintendo meant to undersaturate America so dramatically we just freaking loved that
thing... I think the word about it got out a lot more than they had expected per their
advertising...
But rest assured they undershipped them so your kids would want them and just cuz you wish they
didn't doesn't mean meeting our demand would have bettered Nintendo...
Think of it as being worth the wait... Its just a game after all |

Nintendo is a company based in Japan. They started in the year 1889 and they started with making
cards. Slowly over the years they shifted their business into something or the other and finally
they turned into a video games making company. Right now it is the third most renowned video games
making company in Japan. They send their games to all over the world and thus their market value has
risen to $85 billion. “Wii” is one very famous video game console that the Nintendo came up with
in the year 2006. It had some very good features which made the console different form others. The
availability of such a thing in USA was no doubt more in numbers but still some have complain that
they could not get hold of one. But it is for sure that they sent the console sufficiently. |
