Hunting Was Made Illegal In Britain Yet Some People Are Defying The Ban. The Police Should Take More Action Against Them Than Say People Who Park Illegally.
Many hunts are defying the hunting ban. They say it contravenes their human rights. They face legal penalties if they are caught. These should be much more harsh to stop them breaking the law.

Yes. Hunters are cowards. They have guns. How bout try and kill the animals without weapons. Those cowards should be stopped.

Definitely! Why kill animals and get away with it while people who have parked their cars 2 bloody nanoseconds later than they expected get fined? And how dare anyone complain that the hunting ban contravenes with their human rights! What on earth makes these people think they have the right to kill animals that have not harmed them in any way?

Anyone who breaks the law should be punished for that action. However i'm not in favour of any relaxation or distraction from the effective policing of our roads. They are already in such a state.

Completely agree, these people think they are above the Law when they are clearly not.

We can build fences to keep foxes, and lions and bears, in.
So why do farmers find it so difficult to make fox proof fences?

The punishment should fit the crime and equally, the sentence should be suited to the person being tried. Whilst a fine of £100 maybe sufficient for deterring a motorist from parking in a dangerous place, or driving at 40mph down a 30mph street, an aristocratic fox hunter is probably willing to pay the fine on the odd occasion that they are caught. So it makes perfect sense to increase the punishment relative to the person being punished.

And just to rebut muin13's comments; there is no reason to choose between who we would rather see go to prison. Of course, if a motorist causes the deaths of other roads users, the punishment should be given accordingly, just as it should be if a fox hunter repeatedly commits the crime, despite previous attempts to deter them.

In both cases people are breaking the law. But what is more important is that the intensity of its result. Hunting the poor and innocent animals cruelly indicates that we are living a life of the age of medeterrian. Those days are gone when hunting was count as a symbol of royalty. Modern and civilized man should be much more advanced in his thinking and should not be a part of hunting. In Britain, hunting is made illegal but some people are busy making the law fool by their activities like hunting the animals secretly. The British police should engross themselves more and more in search of those secret hunters in lieu of those who park illegally. They should be taught a tough lesson that breaking the laws will lead to them lifelong imprisonment. This could be made people more anxious before lifting the shot gun.

Both are breaking the law.
Yes , I believe that anyone who breaks the law about hunting with dogs should be prosecuted. Just because the opponents of the ban say it's unjust isn't excuse enough to take the law into their own hands.
The majority of the British people are against cruel blood sports and this includes very many people who live in the countryside.
On boxing day the media gave a lot of coverage to those hunts who defied the ban and it's obvious enough to see who they are.
Those who break the law are encouraging people to deny law and order for their own means.
If everyone decided that laws weren't what suited them then we would have a situation wherein lawlessness would become the norm.
Parking illegally should be dealt with as the law on this issue states too.
If the police enforced the law on the ban on hunting effectively then these lawbreakers and this is what they are, would be controlled.

You guys In England sure have some goofy laws. How else are you going to keep the fox population in check, does anyone hunt with out dogs? How about trapping them is that legal there? I don't understand why so much time and enforcement not to mention money is spent on silly things like this. Just repeal the law you will save all the time and money plus control the fox population its a win win.

I happen to agree with muin13 on this occasion. These people who think it is their job, to police the events are going to cause death or deaths sooner of later, and that isn't something I am wishing for.
The agenda for these people goes far beyond the protection of animals. It has become a battle of will. And I know where I would put my money.
I have said it before, if they cared about the animals they would be begging the hunt to do the job it used to.
The fox is smart and it is the runts that are killed. It is done humanely, a nip form the pack leader. Yes the others tear it apart after. If they have the chance dogs are capable.
The urban fox provides a modicum of amusement for a few, but is a scruffy little runt compared to it's country cousin. They are harmful to the natural wild life. I wish the hunt could flush them all out.

Hunting is one of thoughts great British traditions. So many of are traditions have been ruined. Why ruin another its merely getting rid of what it means to be British which even today some people have a problem understanding.

Hunting was necessary before food was available in grocery stores. Hunting as a sport, to me is "legal killing" today.

Hunting in the UK is not Illegal, it's only Illegal to hunt with hounds. And as for harsher punishments, would you rather see a hunter go to prison or a driver who parked in the wrong place and caused a accident killing 10 people?

Ha ha! That doesn't make sense, why would a driver parking in the wrong place kill to people. That's a highly unlikely situation to use as an example!
