Humans are smarter than computers because a computer is all about speed. It does something as fast
as it can and does only that. Even then it can make mistakes. Humans however are more creative and,
may take longer, can come up with better solutions. Humans are better. They always will be. |

Computers lack the skill of creativity. Humans trump computers! |

I agree. It's just that most humans do not apply the sort of knowledge that it takes to be smarter
than a computer and computers are created by humans, are they not? It is known that an average human
uses only about 10% of their brain power. |

Yes, humans can think, whereas a computer is fed information and shows what the human wants. Example
the human chooses the website not the computer |

Humans are smarter. A human brain is the strongest thing in the whole universe to me and the fact
that computers cant think as a human brain does is what makes me say humans are smarter.
Yes, computers can be very sharp at times but that's the whole point why humans have brains, to
think. And if computers cant do that, they would never be smarter than humans other than keep things
in a status quo and do the things that they are programmed to do, no more to that, its like being
young and not growing up |

Yes. Humans are actually smarter than computer, but the sad thing is that many humans never tap into
their true potential. Humans are the ones who create and run computers, so computers are products of
the human brain. Without the human brain, the computers would never work. Computers cannot make
decisions that effect their operation. Humans have the ability to decide situations that could
affect their lives and well being. Therefore, I just think that computers are the product of human
brains. |

The simple fact that humans build computers and computers cannot do the same is a proof the humans
are smarter than computers. A back hoe is stronger than I am but I am still the smarter of the two ! |

|

Computers are just a tool. They are no smarter than a hammer or a screwdriver. They cannot do
anything but what they are designed to do. Maybe that will change someday but not yet. |
| |
|
| |
|
|
|
 |
|
Because humans doesn't have the ability to search up information in there heads and so the need the
computer to look up information |

Edit: This ought to have gone on the other side, blast.
It really depends how you determine "smart".
Consider someone educated to a degree standard, but knowing nothing about life, how to drive, how to
interact with people, how to at all interact with anything except exam papers.
Then consider someone educated to high school standard, that has no degree but lives a normal life
being able to make correct operational decisions in their daily life including their job, family,
car etc.
Who is "smarter" ?
If you're meaning common sense/general knowledge, then obviously people are smarter as computers
can't do anything other than what they are programmed to.
If you're meaning who is faster at mathematics, then obviously it is the computer. |

Computers are only as smart as we program them to be. Nothing even resembling artificial
intelligence has ever been created by us. Only within narrow niche areas, such as chess playing,
where literally every possibility can be evaluated by a computer powerful enough and compared
against obvious criteria of success or failure, can computers out-perform humans.
Iain M. Banks science fiction novels depict a society known as The Culture which is run by
artificial intelligences, known as Minds, residing within giant spaceships the size of planets. The
Minds were allowed to take control because they were obviously more intelligent than humans. The
prospect seems appealing, as presented in the Banks novels, but we're a long way from realising it. |

Well i guess this matters entirely on what you mean by smarter.
1. More logical
2. More knowledgeable
1. Computer logic is sometimes flawed on real world terms but on computer terms its flawless unless
programmed specifically flawed.
2. The computers own all human knowledge that enters the Internet. This does not mean that computers
can use this knowledge to their advantage. Computers are just a storage place for knowledge. |
