America is very evil indeed. It is essentially a corporation founded for the purposes of murdering
and stealing the resources of brown people, something Americans have been doing around the world for
three hundred years, and into which your own ethnicity no doubts gives you a special insight.
Take one of many examples, Vietnam. There America snuffed out the lives of 4 million brown people
for no reason at all, just because they wanted to run their own country. Hitler is remembered as an
icon of demonic evil because he killed 6 million Jews. Yet Americans killed almost that many
Vietnamese. Are these ashamed of it? Not at all. Their presidential candidates, like McCain and
Kerry, boast about having participated in this holocaust. They're proud of it. Imagine that German
politicians in the 1960s boasted about having been in the SS Death's Head Division in the Second
World War, massacring people all over the Eastern front. What would the reaction of the world have
been? Absolute horror. Yet Americans do the same thing and it's apparently ok.
Reverend Wright had it right. America is the new Evil Empire. In fact, it was the old Evil Empire
too.
You can say that it's the leaders who are responsible, but America at some level, in however flawed
a way, is a democracy. That means you can't exculpate the people for what America has done. If they
cared, if they were moved to moral indignation by the torture and mass murder, it would stop. They
don't, so it doesn't. They are complicit in the evil. |

If you believe that America has brought any new dishes to the evil smorgasbord of history you are
sadly mistaken. Most Americans are decent people trying to make a place for them and theirs, just
like most any other place any other time in history. And as with most people in history we allow
ourselves to be led by those that are unscrupulous enough to do what it takes to become leaders.
It’s of small surprise then that those leaders are willing to do whatever they can get away with
once in power. |

Just FYI, this debate says "America;" it doesn't state North America, South America, or Central
America. If you want to talk evil, go to South America where they kidnap children for money, and
upon receiving the money, kill the child.
But honestly, I might be throwing in my hat for the U.S. Because it seems that all of this negative
attention has been built up over the span of the Bush Administration, and even going into his
father's reign of the presidency. The Gulf Wars, the Iraq War; they're just not popular wars, and I
at least have enough information on the Iraq War to oppose it.
Given that statement, do you all realize what would happen if the U.S. Was not the U.S.? Let's talk
about the power of the U.S. Right off the bat. If the U.S. Did not have the current power that it
did, every other struggling country would be like a man on the streets getting beat by another man
without the cops showing up. Do know what colors the U.S. Wears nowadays for the international
community? Red and Blue. We're the international police, making sure that genocides are broken up,
countries don't get out of control and attack other countries, and so forth.
Second, let's talk about the U.S. And the effect we Americans have on the global economy. Everyone
seems to bash Americans because we like things "bigger and better." The U.S.'s economy is hurting
right now, which is directly affecting and beating the daylights out of the global economy. If the
U.S. Economy were to tank, the global economy would pretty much be reduced to an infant, weak and
defenseless. The fact that Americans spend more than they earn actually HELPS the global economy.
So in essence, the U.S. Ensures that the global community is kept operating like it should. Just
know that if you're going to call the U.S. Evil, don't expect any help from us. |

We have all kinds in the USA including some good and some evil. Our country has been guilty many
times of screwing with the rest of the world and acting greedily and selfishly, yet we're also
capable of extreme charity and protection. Furthermore, the sins the US is accused of are not
unique to us, many others in history have done the same things or would do it now if only they had
our power and resources.
So no, we're not evil. We certainly CAN be evil but it's not a given. |

IN AMERICA- Blacks have a 70% illegitimate birth rate. 50% of black children do not graduate high
school. While only 13% of the population, they commit 50% of the murders.
Isn't it time too stop making excuses and look within? |

If your talking about the people of the US, I do not believe they are evil. As atheling said, the
problem is in the government.
When people get power and money, they're heading for a case of insanity. Truly power and money
corrupt absolutely.
That doesn't just apply to the US, but all the rulers.
People on this web site like to blame the Christians, but actually the rulers just used their
religion to get them to do their power grabs.
People don't start wars, politicians do. |

America the Republic is not evil; however, the American government that operates behind the scenes
and under the noses of the American people is "evil"; that government whom violates the Constitution
and Bill of Rights for the sake of greed and domination. America itself is not "evil", but its
government definitely has the potential of being and doing "evil".
I would like to ask you though, how does being "African" American fit in with your statement for
"debate". Why do you point out that you are "African" American? Do you believe that your "racial"
status gives you knowledge that others do not posses? If we are to ever grow as a people and become
a true melting pot, then we should not accept the hyphenated representations of ourselves. This
does not support unity but rather division. Are you not an American? Why refer to yourself as
anything other than American? |
