Homework is very useful....i realised that in secondary in school now as it really helps you refresh
what u learnt at school so you won't forget what has been taught at school...especially in secondary
school when u have 8-9subjects u need to keep refreshing yourself to cope |

Homework helps us to refresh on what we have learnt in class. Sometimes, questions from tests do
come from our homework, thus, if we are able to understand the contents of our homework, we should
be able to do pretty well in our tests. Teachers do not give homework just because they have nothing
better to do, they just want us to do better in our studies, that's all. |

Do your children enjoy homework? I know that i love doing book work , math , and history. Homework
is very nessecary for all schools and having homework teaches you how to be organized and gives you
problem solving skills. Also,it lets children who don't work fast work at their own pace. So, in my
defense homework is a very useful thing and i have given you many elaborate reasons why homework is
nessecary so take my opinion into consideration and still givew homework to all your students or
children. |

Well I think we should have homework, but not too much! Especially for GT people! I'm in GT and I
know. I also think it's annoying that teachers make you do 2 book projects at the same time! Do you
know how hard it is to read 2 books and make notes on them in a freaking month! Gosh! |

Homework it totaly needed, all children need to revise what they have learnt for the day before they
go to bed. Homework keeps the students in touch with the concepts that they have learned at school.
They get to practice at home and learn on their own. It is homework that puts the child in charge of
his learning and when given the responsibility most kids learn and retain better. The only reason
students dislike homework is because of the boring and repetitive nature of it. Interesting
activities and exercises should be added to the daily homework to generate some interest. |

BUT, I think that its form is the most important.
I believe that all homeworks should be made in order to get the student attracted to the issue and
to make him look up something about it.
It should not be just the same as what he/she does at school.
Some projects are the best kind of homework, imho.
Anyway, I really like this quote and live by it:

From that point of view, I cannot agree with those who say that "education ends at school".

take home, because the school day isn't long enough for the teachers to make sure that the students

Of course homework is a necessary part of education!! It isn't enjoyable but it enables the child to
be prepared for the exams coming up more so than they would be if they didn't have homework. It also
enables the teacher's to see who is clever outside their help and wants to do well, and those who
are the opposite.
However; it also can be inaccurate because the parents help the child a lot with the work as the
teacher isn't there to do so. I also don't agree with the amount of homework they are giving young
children. It is all very well giving a-level and gcse students a lot of homework because they have
important exams but some children in primary school get ridiculous amounts of homework. This is
where i feel it is not necessary because whilst the child needs to work, it is also important for a
child to play and socialise too. What sort of community would we have if the children spent all
their time working? A sad one. |

to perform better. However, I believe that an overly excessive amount may instead harm the students.
Colleges are requiring them to participate in extracurricular activities that diminish their time
for homework. While homework and other important activities are both too demanding, the students are
receiving too much pressure that is unhealthy, either physically or emotionally. |

I tested this my sophmore year. I was in a... Moderately high math class, above the basic majority.
Test in the class were worth 80% of the grade and this got me thinking, what if? That whole year I
did not open my textbook once. I went on notes, and basic mathmatical knowledge. Not that homework

they have to come home and spend time doing homework? At my high school a 1 hour class was supposed

thing we do at night. The 45 minute homework rule was not taken seriously. People who did not do

There is no reason for homework!!!!!!I am a sixth grader and get tons of homework every day!!! We
students spend SIX HOURS A DAY FOR FIVE DAYS A WEEK! Its enough that we have to spend more than
half the week doing school work and spending six hours at school. Then we have to go home and spend
at least an hour at home for most of us doing homework! I don't have time to do anything anymore.
Only on the weekends! Even then, sometimes i have projects to do. For instance, this month i had to
do a black history project. For every one of my six periods except P.E! I spent so much time doing
that! I barely have time to think! If i ever become president one day, (which i know most likely
will not happen) i am gonna try and band homework! |
