Good morning\afternoon teachers, students and other visiting members. I am here today because I
strongly disagree that homework is unnecessary. However it should be limited. Recently there has
been a debate in the
media about the level of homework given to students by schools.
Homework helps teachers evaluate how much students understand or even how much they've been
listening. It is proven fact, that schools which give homework have better exams results than
schools that don't.
Homework helps develop you're brain and you're self into a more responsible person, because if you
hand your homework in on time, it will help you with future references, jobs and other future
exams.
Homework should not be banned – however I think it should be limited to 45 minutes every day. But
it should not be so they do it in a few minutes or rush it to get finished |

Homework it totaly needed, all children need to revise what they have learnt for the day before they
go to bed. Homework keeps the students in touch with the concepts that they have learned at school.
They get to practice at home and learn on their own. It is homework that puts the child in charge of
his learning and when given the responsibility most kids learn and retain better. The only reason
students dislike homework is because of the boring and repetitive nature of it. Interesting
activities and exercises should be added to the daily homework to generate some interest. |

I don’t think doing homework is necessary because in will waste time. We spent 7.5 hours in school
per day, we spent 5 out of 7 days per week , that is 37.5 hours, and we have 47 weeks , in total is
1762.5 hours at school per year. The time we spent in school is more than we spent with our family.

Homework should be banned because it is a way of killing a child's freedom. A child needs to time to
be a child, a teen also needs time to be a teen and do things such as pleasure themself or make
love. Children are in school 7 hours a day 5 days a week. They are away from their family and
obeying big brother state rules enough, there shouldn't be an excuse for them to have some kind of
school intervention in their home life. For the benefit of the child/teen it is vitally important
that school and home are kept seperate. Homework does not allow that and it kills free time. |

I believe it's time that adults finally listen
to the youth and take there word for it that
homework SUCKS. Therefore, teachers should not issue
studying, homework etc. Be done at HOME. School takes a
large portion of our lives as it is, and half of our
bloody day. So what I'm saying is that once school is
over for the day - that is IT! No homework or anything
to do with school until we go to school the next day.
Studying for tests should only be done at school, period.
Why do I think it should be this way? Because I believe
this will SIGNIFICANTLY end students from skipping school.
Homework = skipping school, no homework = ends skipping
school significantly (not completely because of bullying

"ReFresh". They are telling employees to Relax more
during lunch our and STOP over working. Its the same

6) I go to an after school program and they never let me have enough time to finish my homework,
projects same as well.
7) Some adults don't have homework, for example Athletes. Even though they have to practice sport,
they chose to become athletes and it's fun for them
8) Homework makes more kids get grounded. I heard a story of an animal, the animal was forced to
death because of homework! This is animal cruelty!
9) Kids could do suicide!
10) Kids won't have enough time to enjoy with their friends and relatives!
11) Kids return to school at 3:00 PM regularly, they have at least 1 and 30 min to do hw, including
reading! They'd be done at 5:00 to be exact. They'd only have 4 hrs to enjoy! They have to go to
sleep at 9-10:00 NO FAIR! Adults go to work after kids go to school or before (several). Adults
could sleep whenever they want because nobody bosses them at home. Some do overtime... Then they
could what they want to do!!! Some adults don't want to even work and they don't have too!!!!! Some
adults live with their parents still... Adults are not forced to work, but KIDS ARE FORCED TO
WORK!!! NO FAIR, NO FAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
