| Hate Is Still Prevalent--- It MUST Be Dissolved |
| It shocks and saddens me that 'hate' is still prevalent in the world--- after all we've been through- 'people of difference (race, sexual orientation, religion, disability, et al)'- trying to educate and work with others to see past radical differences... It's still here. Hate crimes- still happening- in 2008! Will it ever stop? Will people just learn tolerance? I think it all comes from fear- fear of the unknown from the old age 'norm'. We must all come together and Accept and Love and end this Hate today! |

I agree. I think we should try and solve the problem it causes not only other people but in
ourselves as well. Those who feel hate need to explore why they do and work through it as it can be
very damaging to themselves. We cannot deny it's presence but we can make better sense of it and try
to eliminate it as you would any other feeling. |

I agree it should be stopped...but I really don't see that happening anytime soon..the world would
be better off without hate..but were only humans and were not perfect there are people who will
never understand what its like to be different from the rest of the world or just someone else |

I agree entirely if the issue is about "social hatred" ie hating whole communities because of some
alleged "reason" - our education systems should facilitate learning about human emotion and how we
stereotype people quite naturally (see debate on judging people by appearance!). HOWEVER we can not
eradicate hate at an individual level - for personal reasons I reserve the right to hate an
individual! |

Although you can not completely dissolve it, it would just be ignorant not to try. |

Who would want hate in the world? Honestly who? Anyone that disagrees with you obviously has some
bad issues with hate. No good human being would want hate in this world. Although it may never be
dissolved completely, it is still a good idea to try and educate the public, as much as possible.
Preventitive measures are the best measures, it's proven. I agree with you, but it would be
impossible to completely eliminate it; however, it doesn't hurt to try. |

Hate will never be dissolved. Its a natural human emotion. |

When the power of love overcomes the love for power, the world will know peace.
For this to happen, humanity must stop being human. |

Emotions are a hardwired decision making aide. Often in life situations you don’t have time to
reason things out completely so you have these emotional responses to situations that can help you
prioritize. Hate is usually part and parcel with fear, what you most fear is what you most hate
which can be very important information. The problem is when we allow our emotional response to be
the decision. We do have the ability to reason; we are obligated to use this ability as best we may.
Therefore we have to look at our emotions as just another source of information whose progeny may be
suspect. Understanding hate, as well as the rest of your emotions, is a much more functional and
useful endeavor, and probably the only effective path towards reducing the unreasonable responses
(violence, bigotry, etc..) to the emotion hate which I think is what you’re really talking about. |

People can choose to hate whatever they want. It's one of our basic rights(free speech).
It seems so stupid that the government is basing entire laws and policies, on a very vague word that
is subject to a lot of change. |

It would be inhuman to overcome bouts of temporary hate... Hate is vital for progress and simple
understanding... You hate hate don't you? Maybe not deeply, maybe not anymore... But truly hating
something had to make you base these ideas on what to feel about hate... And you shouldn't resent
yourself for those feelings anymore than i should tell you how to feel about them... But I'm trying
to reach you on that human level and that i think is more important than what happens to hate...
Humans will always have hate, and we must always teach future generations to be wary of it, to have
them recognize it is one of many things that we their elders do not fully understand |

As humans we learn through duality, that is having opposites. We know right because we understand
wrong. I know where up is because I can put it in the context of down. Even some of the most
cutting edge science is based on this effect of duality. (anti matter theory)
So in summation, to get rid of hate is to get rid of love for without both we fail to understand
either. |

I agree that there is still a lot of hate in today's society, but I disagree that it should be
dissolved. There is no way we can stop one person for hating another person. It would be nice if we
could, but there is no way we can control that. The Bible clearly says that we should love one
another. Therefore, all of these people who hate others for their religion, their skin color, their
culture, and for other reasons will one day pay the ultimate price for their sin. So, let them go on
hating. They will one day suffer from it. People who hate are afraid of the unknown and that is why
they hate. They may even hate themselves. It would be great if we could come up with a way to stop
haters, but I really do not see anything like that happening during our time. People have hated
forever and they will continue to hate. It is human nature. |

Hate is human, sorry. There's nothing you can do about it. If you eliminate hate and fear and
jealousy and all those negative emotions, you cease to be human. You're asking people to act in an
abnormal, unnatural way and it doesn't work that way. |
