Celebrate it?
The freakin' christians invented all the "satanic" mumbo jumbo associated with it.
The original holiday of Samhain (a Celtic word, pronounced "sow-en") was a celebration to end
the harvest season, it had nothing to do with "worshipping the dead" or other nonsense. |

I don't think anyone should. Nobody remembers or even cares why it exists; all kids care about is
that they get to mooch candy off of strangers. |

The verses you chose are extremely weak in trying to prove your point. They have nothing to do with
the way Halloween is now celebrated. One must consider what Halloween oncw was and what it is now.
It originally was a pagan ritual. Now it is just a fun time for kids and adults. You can't find
scripture to defend your position, just as no one can find scripture to oppose your belief. One
thing though, don't lump all believers into your mold. Instead of the word us, say I. Don't take
Bible verses out of context just to try and prove a point. |

Umm it was started by christians who were afraid of the goobly gobbly things coming alive on all
hallow's eve and left fruit and nuts on their porch to keep them happy and not do bad things to
them....it has NOTHING to do with the "devil". Get educated. Halloween isn't about satan |

Halloween isn't anymore evil than what you do at night when you're all alone. |

Hahahaha...
I resent the 'Us Christians" part of your statement. You make it seem like Christians are superior
to others. That's funny.
Also, if you actually knew anything about the Bible, you'd realize you can trust almost noting out
of it. It wasn't even written by God and it's been translated and tweaked dozens of times throughout
history. Try quoting some reliable Christian source, if there are any..
Finally, people shouldn't take Halloween so seriously. It's a day for fun and good times. Only the
freaks actually go out and honor the devil, so relax, eh?
Christians...SO God-like... |

1) Christians already hijacked other pagan holidays by declaring their dates their own and giving
them different meanings. Why don't you just do the same with Halloween? 2) Let your kids have some
fun. If Jesus Christ were 6 years old today I bet even he would want to dress up like something.
3) If you REALLY believe Halloween is evil and that the devil walks the earth that night then you're
probably less mature than your children.

Uh, I was disagreeing with the subtext of the topic, not disagreeing with Halloween obviously. |
