No. They could be falsely labelled at "terrorists", but they most certainly aren't terrorists.
Terrorism involves unexpected violent acts that injure and kill in an attempt to frighten a civilian
population. For example, the US, without warning, bombing civilians in Syria last week, or Israel,
without warning, bombing civilians in a refugee camp this week.
When Greenpeace does one of its acts, those who are targeted by it know the event is coming (e.g.
When the Japanese who were killing whales illegally). Greenpeace has never committed a
"terrorist act" in the traditional definition of the phrase.
On the other hand, Greenpeace have been the victims of terrorism - abused, shot at
without warning, and most notably, when the French bombed and sunk the Rainbow Warrior in New
Zealand, murdering a member of the crew. |

Nah. They fall under the category of "Active-resistance protesters".
"If you vote Democrat, the terrorists win." -- Now THAT'S terrorism! |

Terrorism as defined by the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1989 is"....the use
of violence for political ends, and includes any use of violence for the purpose of putting the
public or any section of the public in fear."
If you are saying this is the mission statement of Greenpeace, then yes they are. Or is it just a
few individuals that may or may not be linked to Greenpeace.
What would the contributors on the Green Side call it when the French Government blew up the Rainbow
Warrior in New Zealand?? |

Greenpeace is not a terrorist organization. I don't always agree with their actions but they do a
good job as watchdogs for the environment. Greenpeace is not perfect but who's perfect ? You ? |
