| Governor Schwarzenegger recently suggested that the legislature remove five days from the California school year. This would generate an extra 1.1 billion dollars state wide, which would help the state debt of over 40 billion dollars. Many say that removing the five days will slow the learning process and weaken students intelligence level. Many say that this would prevent students from being ready to compete in a world economy. I believe, however, that if someone wants to succeed, they might as well do it. It isn't a problem of number of days, it's a problem of work ethic. |
