The problems caused by drugs, the supply and the underlying need children have for them, are treated by successive governments like a storm in a tea cup. But when Kids get hurt or killed all they want to do is ban pocket knives.
This is a hard one. I think most drugs are terrible and have no good attributes, but some are better
than others. Surely cocaine should have worse lawful consequences than weed. And most western
governments are pretty harsh on drugs. If you traffic 50 thousand dollars of stolen car parts, and
someone traffics 50 thousand dollars of weed, you can get off with a charge and no jail time. But
the drug trafficker can be punished with years and years of jail time. Is that fair?
