I think that giving young adults the responsibility of going home for lunch is to much really.
Going home for lunch can open up a whole new gateway for doing other things while they are supposed
to be going home. Many kids these days are very influenced by their friends, and in rebuttel to
annet's comment, Most young adults now have vehicles so exercise is no longer a useful argument.
The fast food would apply much better and that isn't good for students. |

Kids should not be allowed to go home for lunch at any time. Students today are not as mature as
students were 10-20 years ago. If students left school property, most of them would be out there
causing problems. There would be fights and other crimes. Schools could be held liable for these
immature actions and it could open the school up to lawsuits. The schools have a responsibility to
protect students. When a student is off school property, the school has less control of the student.
It is just too risky to allow students to leave school grounds for lunch. Above all, schools provide
the nutrition that students need. The food is healthier. Students do not need to be eating fast food
every day. |

Going home for lunch is a great way to save money and a good way to relax for a couple of minutes
before you go back to work. If you are lucky enough to live close to home, you should definetly take
advantage of it. |

People who can be trusted can go home for lunch, however you can't let someone likely to stay absent
or misuse the privilege. Some people prefer the food on offer at home so let them |

Kids should be able to go home if the parents can be home too, and the parents would make sure they
stayed out of trouble. If the parents couldn't be home and the kid couldn't go to a friends house,
then they would have to stay at school. |

I think students should be allowed to go home for lunch, but the parents should have to give
permission for that student to leave. The parents should know if their child could handle that
responsibility or not. If the parent thinks their child can't handle it, they can say they do not
want their child to leave the school during the school day. |

Allowing students to go home for lunch not only promotes exercise as many would have to walk home,
but also promotes responsibility as the majority of students do not abuse their privileges. On the
grounds of safety, if children cannot go home for lunch, then surely they can't walk home from
school, go out on their own or numerous other things. |
