Well, in my opinion it's worth less than my opinion. But then so is every-bodies. I mean think
about it for a second. To value some one's opinion over your own, is an opinion itself. So even if
you think your acting on someone else's opinion your really acting on your own. |

I'm an atheist, but if i did believe in him i would:
I don't think he has an opinion, if he did wouldn't we ALL share the same opinion? We have hundreds
of billions of opinions on everything, and if god did create us the way HE WANTED TO i think he'd
make us share his opinion :P |

Ah, but see, you cannot question God or His authority because it would unravel the entire
universe!
Seriously, everyone's so worried about God thinks that they aren't even asking themselves what THEY
think. If you believe in God, you believe that you were given free will; the ability to make
choices. You can choose to do whatever the heck you want. If you choose to believe in God's opinion?
Fine. If I choose to believe in my own opinion? Fine. Don't look down on me because I'm coming to my
own conclusions about things through my own experience and force of will. I may be experiencing
through "sin" but at least I'm learning for myself. Isn't that what everyone says? To succeed, you
must fail a bunch of times? |

Specter defines Specters god. Specter's god does not fit the God of the Bible. The God of the Bible
is perfect.
Most of the comments on both sides of the aisle on this topic are idiotic.
People (believers and non-believers) who use passages in the Bible to state God's stance on stupid
issues are being morons.
God's stance is that He sees humans through Jesus Christ. Because Jesus Christ loved morons. "Father
forgive them for they know not what they do".
So keep flitting around being morons. It's ok. |

The opinion of mankind, is the opinion of God. This is of course what ever God you speak of, for if
God truly existed, and disagreed with our human concepts, his eternal power should be able to easily
change us or influence us. |

I just think God is more human than we think. |

What is this god’s official opinion on these subjects and how can we determine that these
standings are not influenced by the Biblical writer’s personal opinions? |

I agree. Also, Who's to say what "God" says or how He feels about something?? Nobody can even prove
His existence.
People read a book (which was written by man) and come up with all sorts of ideas about what "God"
wants and doesn't want us to do... |

God made you and your parents and your parent's parents etc etc.
God has insight to you future, your tardships, your gifts, your etc. Maybe his opinion/view/reason
should be considered. It is wise to look at all options. Or one might say you are being... Ignorant. |

We worship an intolerant God. He doesn't take polls. He defines sin. Something is sinful simply
because God says it's sinful. He never has to defend Himself to anyone. He bows before no human
court of opinion. Jesus said God's Word will finally judge the whole universe |

Specter87, I think you have succinctly articulated and given us an example of "original sin" in a
very postmodern way. |

God does not have to have an opinion or an option.
I had a double take on the tile it just does not make any sense a bit like gobbledy goope
really...!;-)) |

I agree with Genkaku in his observation that God gives us life and it is, indeed, up to us,
collectively and individually, to live our lives. Moreover, if one can believe in God, then it is
likewise not so far a reach to observe the evidence of God's "opinion" in nature, and the seemingly
constant and perpetual equillibrium expressed therein. Since, we too, are in nature, we too are
evidence of God's "opinion."
No matter the numerous manipulations of the "Good Book" by man for his machinations, it nevertheless
remains untainted as a symbolism for what we collectively perceive as rights and wrongs. |

You mustn't forget it's not God's word, it's the people interpreting them.
It's people manipulating information until they get what they want.
If there is a God, I am sure he his wise, all knowing and has a plan for anything.
I heard this quote, and it's not much, but it brings a good point, "God don't make no mistakes.."
And in that quote it tells exactly what it says.
And if there were a God, I don't think he would have an opinion. He would leave life up to you and
give you the chance to do what you want. If you pray for the chance not to be pregnant, does God
make you not pregnant, or give you the chance not to be?
So it's not God, he has no opinion. He only has wisdom.
Because, to me, you're not going against God...you're going against yourself and it's on you to make
it right. He only gives you the chance to live, not live for you. |

Well Spec, that is just a silly statement. If God is 'God', than yes, by definition,he is perfect.
His opinion is the standard. Kinda like if I made a jar and the jar looked up at me and demanded to
be made a different way. I made it the way I wanted and not the way it wanted. I was the creator and
my way was the way it was going to be.
'He created us, big deal'- Do you realize how conceited that sounds?
You are asking the wrong people. Your problem is with God. Ask Him. We can't really answer for him. |
