God is the basis of most Christians beliefs. You might as well say that Christians should not be
allowed to debate at all because you cannot separatre the two.. |

You should not be doing these unrelated debates. |

I'll grant that sometimes the God talk is annoying. However...
1) It's a debate site, you can question and argue with almost anything, nothing is off the table.
2) There are many different paradigms to use in debate. A paradigm is a set of parameters and/or
filters to apply to observe and understand an issue. Religion is indeed a valid paradigm. It may
not apply to a particular issue as well as a cost-benefit analysis or a legal paradigm, etc., but
it's fair game because even the paradigm used can be debated too. 3) The strength of an argument
will win out in the end. If the God reference has little relevance then the other types of
arguments will hit harder. 4) Think of the other unpopular paradigms which pop up all over he
place... Conservative or Liberal, Women vs Men, and even references to the US (this is a globally
accessed site but there's clearly a whole lot of talk about the US going on) -- those pop up over
and over just the same as God. |

I mean i understand your argument but when God rules your life and you stand strong in your faith a
lot of your decisions and and beliefs and the way you live your life is based off of your religion
and what you believe is right or wrong. |

Why not God plays a part in everything? |

I disagree. I personally don’t care how much they mention a god, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, or
whatever. If someone believes mentioning something of the sort benefits their argument, they can go
for it. But I understand why one might grow tired of seeing such subjects being brought up in
unrelated issues. There was a debate I saw on here a while back where someone actually starting
talking about a god when the topic was speaking of dog food. I thought that was decently laughable.
I’m not precisely sure how or why they decided to talk about a god in such a debate though. |
