Very adeptly-phrased and chosen debate topic.
Good question.
There is a sense in which you are correct: We have a need in our lives for a Saviour-Complex to come
and rescue us from the human condition. We humans are fragile and needy-creatures in the
grander-scheme of things of the Universe. So, of course we make a god-like Entity to come rescue us
from our miserable circumstances.
And yet however, there is that immutable fact, that we did not create our own existence in that same
Grand Universe: Were wonderfully-made, as the psalmist said, "and that my soul knoweth right well".
Beautifully put.
So, both perspectives are true, at one and the same in time in different ways, of course.
Great debate! |

It is the most powerful crutch. Truly a miracle worker. He helps the disabled walk. Makes weak men
strong. But if you lose that, if you question your faith, His vengence is to leave you weak as a
puppy.
I believe no one is destroyed more by God, no sinner, no evil man, more than those who believe or
believed in Him. |

This is why we have pain; for in pain we go to God. However, there are people who ignore God until
they need him, which is not right. |
