I so agree with u if there was no god who created the earth just like everthing has a manufacturer
even the earth would hve had a manufacturer |

That's what's up. I think its amazing over 40 authors over several thousand years point to one
revelation. That is of Jesus.
I think its cool to study a priori reasoning. Self evident truths vs. Truths of contingency, etc. |

We live by faith, not by sight. That about sums it up. |

I Agree i mean if you read revelation it clearly states what is going on right now. Every thing the
prophets of the old testament said would come to pass have. |

Okay can we ever just leave the debate alone and let it die?
We believe what we want you believe what you want.
We will just find out in the end. |

Does God exist? The complexity of our planet points to a deliberate Designer who not only created
our universe, but sustains it today.
Many examples showing God's design could be given, possibly with no end. But here are a few:
The Earth...its size is perfect. The Earth's size and corresponding gravity holds a thin layer of
mostly nitrogen and oxygen gases, only extending about 50 miles above the Earth's surface. If Earth
were smaller, an atmosphere would be impossible, like the planet Mercury. If Earth were larger, its
atmosphere would contain free hydrogen, like Jupiter.3 Earth is the only known planet equipped with
an atmosphere of the right mixture of gases to sustain plant, animal and human life.
The Earth is located the right distance from the sun. Consider the temperature swings we encounter,
roughly -30 degrees to +120 degrees. If the Earth were any further away from the sun, we would all
freeze. Any closer and we would burn up. Even a fractional variance in the Earth's position to the
sun would make life on Earth impossible. The Earth remains this perfect distance from the sun while
it rotates around the sun at a speed of nearly 67,000 mph. It is also rotating on its axis, allowing
the entire surface of the Earth to be properly warmed and cooled every day.
And our moon is the perfect size and distance from the Earth for its gravitational pull. The moon
creates important ocean tides and movement so ocean waters do not stagnate, and yet our massive
oceans are restrained from spilling over across the continents.4
Water...colorless, odorless and without taste, and yet no living thing can survive without it.
Plants, animals and human beings consist mostly of water (about two-thirds of the human body is
water). You'll see why the characteristics of water are uniquely suited to life:
It has an unusually high boiling point and freezing point. Water allows us to live in an environment
of fluctuating temperature changes, while keeping our bodies a steady 98.6 degrees.
Water is a universal solvent. This property of water means that thousands of chemicals, minerals and
nutrients can be carried throughout our bodies and into the smallest blood vessels.5
Water is also chemically neutral. Without affecting the makeup of the substances it carries, water
enables food, medicines and minerals to be absorbed and used by the body.
Water has a unique surface tension. Water in plants can therefore flow upward against gravity,
bringing life-giving water and nutrients to the top of even the tallest trees.
Water freezes from the top down and floats, so fish can live in the winter.
Ninety-seven percent of the Earth's water is in the oceans. But on our Earth, there is a system
designed which removes salt from the water and then distributes that water throughout the globe.
Evaporation takes the ocean waters, leaving the salt, and forms clouds which are easily moved by the
wind to disperse water over the land, for vegetation, animals and people. It is a system of
purification and supply that sustains life on this planet, a system of recycled and reused water.
Does God exist? The human brain's complexity shows a higher intelligence behind it.
The human brain...simultaneously processes an amazing amount of information. Your brain takes in all
the colors and objects you see, the temperature around you, the pressure of your feet against the
floor, the sounds around you, the dryness of your mouth, even the texture of your keyboard. Your
brain holds and processes all your emotions, thoughts and memories. At the same time your brain
keeps track of the ongoing functions of your body like your breathing pattern, eyelid movement,
hunger and movement of the muscles in your hands.
The human brain processes more than a million messages a second. Your brain weighs the importance of
all this data, filtering out the relatively unimportant. This screening function is what allows you
to focus and operate effectively in your world. A brain that deals with more than a million pieces
of information every second, while evaluating its importance and allowing you to act on the most
pertinent information... Did it come about just by chance? Was it merely biological causes,
perfectly forming the right tissue, blood flow, neurons, structure? The brain functions differently
than other organs. There is an intelligence to it, the ability to reason, to produce feelings, to
dream and plan, to take action, and relate to other people. How does one explain the human brain?

God exists, last Wednesday, i felt him touch my shoulder when we were praying in youth service. |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
God does exist it doesn't take more than a sentence to figure it out |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
Finally someone who actually understands god is real |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
Yes we all have proof its right there in the bible and you know it |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
God exist... When my mom died she told us with her last breath that she saw Jesus |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
|
 |
|
Their are also ancient holy scriptures such as the Qur'an, the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishad, the Rig
Veda, and the Tao Te Ching. The proof of their existence does not prove the existence of Allah,
Buddha or Krishna. |

|

If god didn't exist then who told the prophets to make the bible? Tell me that's your proof...let's
see...if could of been the same god that told guys to run a plane into a building,,....or or it
could of been the same guy who told the man on the greyhound bus in Saskatchewan(spelt wrong who
cares) to cut of sum guys head along the way and keep a bag full of ears...or it could of also been
the same god who told all those people in the loony bin to go do stupid stuff......really its your
choice, which god sounds more appealing to you? |

Then you no longer need to have faith because you now have knowledge. And you do not need to ask us
all the why questions, either, because have the answers. |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
So if a man/woman walked up to you and said, "here read this...God told me to write it", you'd
believe them? Many of the predictions are vague or obvious. Not enough proof, IMHO |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
I'm going to ask you one very simple question.
Did you forgert to take your medication.
Just because things are happening now that are said in the bible means nothing.
Oh my goodness, a dove just flew outside my window.
My sonnet is coming true.
For all we know the prophets were insane.
Perhaps they just wanted to make a quick buck.
It's like all things in history, all it really is is someone's opinion, which, in this case, we
cannot fully trust. |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
Alcohol told the prophets to make the Bible! |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
Because they are vague and symbolic and could be applied wherever people want them to fit just like
any good ‘seeing the future’ con. |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
If you actually had proof of an answer to the question that has plagued humankind for millenia,
there would be ten million people knocking on your door right now. |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
To choose something to be used as proof, you must know it is true to begin with; wither by
scientific proof or someone or something knowledgeable and trustworthy telling you it is true. So to
base all your argument with the bible, you must know the bible is true. Since there is no scientific
evidence saying the bible is true, what tells you the bible is true? God, and who tells you god is
real and trustworthy? The bible. It a big circle, similar to me saying the sky is purple, you can
believe me because i say I'm right |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
It still baffles me that people base their whole philosophy of life on a 2,000 year old book. No
wait, its not even that old, it was written more like 600 years after the events described and has
been heavily amended through the years. The stories are just exaggerated and not credible to any
degree, and to use it as evidence that God exists is just unintelligent. As a rational and logical
thinker, I realised from a young age that we are overwhelmed with evidence against God's existence
yet there are still people who cling on to the vain hope of Him existing. |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
You have presented no actual proof, merely using the bible to impose your Christian beliefs on us
agnostics and atheists. Bring me some physical evidence, other than "God touched me" or "the Bible
has predicted the future". |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
That's not proof. Don't cite scripture when arguing the existence of God, that's basically begging
the question. |

How do you know that it wasn't just some mental or drunk people who wrote the bible? (sorry if it
offends, I'm just exploring ways... It could be true. But don't take any offence) |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
I’m having a difficult time understanding your reasoning on this one. People have to be given
approval by a supernatural being before they are able to write? What things happening now does the
Bible predict? I think most other people of faith would find your logic to be an embarrassment. |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
This really is a very silly question. Who told J.K. Rowling to write Harry Potter? You don't need
a deity to tell people to write things.
Besides, if God told the Biblical authors to write what they wrote, he should be ashamed of himself,
they produced a terribly self-contradictory work. |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
If you are truly a person of faith you should not require proof. If you need validation and have a
need to see and touch and feel God, then your faith is very fragile. |
