It's the end of the ice age, folks. But you can stop feeling guilty. Mars, Jupiter, and other bodies
in the solar system are also showing signs of global warming. In fact, Earth's increase has been
less by percentage than these other places, meaning Earth's biosphere may be attenuating the
effect.
Still, environmentalism is good just for the sake of environmentalism. |

Though there are definitely some natural factors, the GREAT majority of global warming is happening
because of humans. We always look for instant gratification for anything without thinking of the
consequences that can be wrought by the decision. |

The symptoms of Global Warming are all around us, and the fact that some are wasting time trying to
make it seem that human intervention is having nothing to do with it makes me sad. The most likely
story is that, because of a generous amount of carbon and greenhouse gases, the world is getting
warmer as the Earth's atmosphere is retaining more of the Sun's heat. To be frank, scientists should
stop debating the existence of Global Warming and be on the side of caution and try to find some way
of making a potent difference. Fusion anyone? |

It's pitiful to see people posting in the against column of this debate. The oil companies and their
prostitute scientists (sic) originally tried to deny that global warming was occurring. Then we had
something like the 13 hottest years in recorded history all occurring within a 14-year span. After
that, they abandoned that obviously no longer viable strategy and worked up a new one : Global
warming was occurring but it was a natural cycle and not caused by human action. Even this is a
ludicrous, "Earth is flat"-style argument, but there are a few so-called scientists, funded by the
oil companies, who maintain it.
It's obvious that some of the less well-informed of America's right-wing crowd haven't got the memo
about the change in propaganda strategy, and are still clinging to the old line about global warming
not actually happening at all. It's like one of these Japanese soldiers discovered on a small island
in the 1960s who thought the Second World War was still going on. |

If you are a fan of science you should always be skeptical, test and retest, and not accept the
debate as being over. Scientific questions are never concluded if there remain serious objections
to the conclusion. To say that it cannot be denied sounds a lot like those who have faith, but not
a scientific mindset. |

The globe is warming, but not at a rate that will harm us in the near future. So there is no reason
