I agree, take 1 gay guy and marry him to 1 lesbian woman and then teach him how to REALLY please her
and everything will be fine. |

I think the inevitable is coming. Usually California is a mega trend setter for the rest of the
country. However, msprings03 you sound as if your main argument is against divorce. I agree with
you. I think there are sound nonreligious reasons and nonhomophobic reasons to maintain that
marriage should be between one man and one woman. However, I think divorce is far more damaging to
the family and culture than same sex marriage would be; so on that point I would agree with you. I
would love it if same sex couples who want to get married and heterosexual couples who are married
would start a movement to criminalize adultery and abolish no fault divorce. That would be better
for all, in my opinion. That would also be quite convincing that those who want to get married
really believe it to be with one other for a lifetime. |

I have yet to see a valid explanation, outside of religious intolerance, that gives me any reason to
believe homosexuals shouldn’t be allowed to get married. |

Just like racism, there is always some sort of stigma that is attached to something that doesn't fit
the societal preconception. Because of this, people are homophobic. As a teen, I've grown up and
learned to accept that gays, lesbians, transgenders and bisexuals are humans too, they just are
attracted to different people than usual. On CNN.com, there was a story about a principal that quit
his job rather than let a Gay-Straight Alliance be established at his school. That is disgusting,
but homophobics stick to the social preconception; like putting blinders on a horse. When you take
the blinders off, the periphrial vision is astounding people, I assure you. |

No. Marriage is between one man and one woman.
Quit trying to corrupt marriage.
