I don't know how many times you have had a homosexual person try to turn you into a homosexual, but I can honestly say it has never happened to me. I have gay people who I consider to be friends and I think that they have a difficult time in many areas in life. First of all, many do not have acceptance from their family and some do not have some of their friends' acceptance. Then, they have to live with being called names, bullied and bashed because they love the "wrong" gender. I don't think they are corrupt. I believe that they are trying to live their life in the way that makes them happy and with the partner who makes them happy. I personally have no desire to have a relationship with another woman, but I realize that, for some, a same sex relationship is the only type of relationship that will make them feel fulfilled. I think it is better that they feel comfortable to come out and live their life in the same open way that heterosexuals do and, to tell you the truth, I have heard more truly...ummm....ok, icky things done between heterosexual couples. All couples can get into some odd fetishes, but gays are no more or less likely to do so and calling them corrupt is unfair. If they are corrupt then most heterosexuals are also corrupt because few wait for marriage, many have multiple partners (even if not at the same time) and lots of heterosexual couples have a problem with remaining faithful. So, the thing is, all people do things that we do not find to be appealing or "right" for us, but we cannot run around pointing fingers at all of society. LordDaniel doesn't know what he's talking about in this debate...he likes to ruffle feathers. Stick around and you'll see what I mean. Take care...Hallie
Far more heterosexuals are hiv positive than homosexuals. Heterosexual sex is a far more prevalent
vector than homosexual sex. If by your logic the gay community should take responsibility then we
the heterosexual community should take more responsibility. Or maybe we should blame the people that
are against giving kids a decent sex education.
As I've already said statiscally speaking the gay population did make up a majority of those who
contracted Aids after it was brought over to the US from Africa. But it wasn't the gay population
who made the disease or brought it over from Africa it makes this statement false.
In general everyone should take responsibility for their health. If you are going to have casual sex
you should at least keep yourself and the other person safe because anyone can catch Aids.
This statement I agree with.this statement. Excepting The 'made' part. That is irrelevant. Patient 'Zero', the first identified AIDS victim, was a gay flight attendant from Canada.
Don't take this debate, at least my part in it, as a condemnation of gays. I am strictly debating the facts.
Not accurate and there is nothing in medical publications that states this is true. In the 70s &
80s it was more common if not almost confined to the homosexual and bisexual population but now this
statement is false. Do a little research.
Nope, it was the US government that were using the gays and bisexuals for testing of the hepatis B
vaccine and through it, gay men and bisexuals aquired HIV and began spreading it to other gays.
Thus from that gays were labled "responsible" for HIV,when it was really just a scientiic error.
Just like churches should take responsibility for the justification of childhood rapes. Take
responsibility for the destruction of the two parent household.
Listen Mighty Mo if you've got an issue with 'God', take it up with him. if you've got an issue with the church, take it up with them. If your parents have split up man it's not your fault. Me, I've got no problems with my 'God', and I'm sure my 'God', would have no problems about adopting a nice young chap like yourself back into the fold...;-)
Name a way they can possibly do that?
What help is it to anyone, even if they get up on a stage and say, "Oh hey it was my fault i spread
aids!" That isnt going to help at all is it?
Elton John established an aids foundation in both the USA, and the United Kingdom, that has helped quite a bit, they've raised over $50,000,000 since inception in support of projects in 55 countries around the world.
The more people are made aware of projects like this, the more the world will become educated about the problem, and contribute.
