but we all have a right to be what we want, some of us are straight and others may be gay
if the straight can marry then the gays should be able to as well
some of you on the against side are so narrow minded, whats it to you if people want to get married
and live a happy life...gays are just as human as the rest of us and have feelings as well |

Of course we should accept gay marriage legally!! I don't understand why they are treated so
differently, they are normal people who are picked on just because of their differences on those
they find attractive!! I personally say each to their own, and if that means someone likes someone
else of the same sex then why should society stop them? There is nothing wrong with it, people just
choose to think so because it is different from their opinion!! |

I think the difference here, even with the unflappable will of the spoken word, is fear? Those for
gay rights do not fear these rights being disallowed. We argue for what we believe in. Leviticus
18 is about incestual sexual depravity, not sexual orientation. Furthermore, the government is
asking you your opinion, we are. Is your opinion truly that gays being allowed to be recognized for
legal purposes such that it is wrong because the world will turn gay? The world will stop having
babies? Say, worst case scenario... Being gay is as cool as gay people say it is... And leviticus
18 is the forsaken prediction it was feared to become and everybody just can't get enough of the
same sex sex... Do you really not think we are civilized enough of a world to develop some plan to
continue a mating ritual? You don't think there is ANY common ground? |

Absolutely. I think as a society, not necessarily as a nation, we need to adopt a policy of live and
let live. What happened to people living by the golden rule? Do unto others as you would have them
do unto you. Some may say that rule has religious exclusivity. I think its a policy everyone should
get back to.
And if that's not enough, why are we allowing the government to give anyone "permission" to get
married? I believe the 10th amendment states "The powers not delegated to the United States by the
Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States, respectively, or to
the people." in short, we never gave them the power to say who we can and cannot marry, why do we
accept the fact that they are doing it? |

I agree. For those who disagree, ask yourself this question. How would you react if the majority of
people in your country were homosexual and were attempting to pass laws claiming heterosexuality, as
well as the marriage of heterosexuals, is against the law? |
