Gatorade is a salt replacement drink for when someone is in the hot sun and sweating. People should not be drinking it when they are not sweating a lot. It has far too much sodium in it.
OK, that's amusing and you make a good point, BUT the truth is almost any drink or food could be
declared misused if the consumer doesn't read the back of the label and follow instructions OR if
they combine it with some other product. Coke mixed with rum wasn't the original intention. A
"serving" of chips may say 6 chips and then when you eat half the bag someone would say you
"misused" the product. I mean with Gatorade it's not like there is a warning notice on the back
that says drinking it without extreme exercise "may result in obesity and unearned satisfaction."
I thought it had something to do with electrolytes??? Correct me if I'm wrong, of course, but
according to their website, its just supposed to keep athletes hydrated since they do all that
exercise.
