Full Day Kindergarten Might Not Work Out
Full day kindergarten would allow people to work longer, but it may not be good for the students. For example, kids might not be able to stay at school as long as 1-12 graders would be. Second of all we would have to combine classes or create extras I am not saying I am against full day kindergarten I wan to know what you think

I think that they should only go half days. It is a transitional period that kids have to get used to going to school

That sounds more like a daycare than kindergarten. Kindergarten doesn't have full day lessons plans of things to teach kindergartners. Most of that time has to be just sitting around or playing. But if it really was kindergartners sitting in front of a kindergarten teacher with guided planning all day... That's pretty sad. How long is all day?

A full day of kindergarten doesn't make a smooth transition period for kids of that age. One of our local schools has full days, every other day, and the kids seem to be a lot more interested and less moody when going for half days, at other schools.

Kids don't really learn anything in kindergarten anyways, so they don't need to be their all day.

At my school, the kindergartners go to school at 8, and leave school about 11:30 and it worked great for me

Full day kindergarten is wonderful!!! All my children attended and it was much less disruptive than having to stop in the middle of the day and go to daycare where the environment was often different than that of kindergarten. And believe it or not they do learn in kindergarten if your children are not learning anything there then your school system is greatly lacking or your child is well beyond that age level. Most of the lessons learned in kindergarten are social and behavioral. Though there are some skills such as shape, letter, color and number recognition.

Full day Kindergarten is a very good thing for kids. It is a place where kids can stay the whole day. From the point of view of the parents, mainly those who are working, for them full day kindergarten is very helpful. They can drop their kids there and move on for their work and at the end of the day while returning home they take back their kids. As a result they also can work properly knowing the fact that their kids are properly taken care of by the kindergarten people. On the other hand kids also remain very happy in there because the whole day besides studying, they also get lot of friends and they can play and enjoy their time. By doing this they don’t even get bore of studying because they get enough time to spend with their friends. Thus kindergarten is useful.
