| I Have A Follower And Some Think It Is Rude To Tell Her Off... |
| I have a follower and my mom says it is rude to tell them off... What should i do? (if you agree or dissagree give me addvive!!!)
PS> this follower thinks she is our friend and hangs out with us when we dont want her around |

Without knowing the full story, it does seem that the girl who is following you all around is a
stalker type. Most people can read non verbal and subtle hints that they are not welcome. If you
are very young, that could explain why she isn't "getting it". She may have a mental disorder or a
learning disability that is not allowing her to read the intent of the people around her. You might
have to sit down and have another talk with your mother and explain that, while you are trying very
hard to follow her rules, this kid is "out there" and not really welcomed within your circle of
friends or at least see if your mom would allow you to set some boundaries with the girl, such as a
set number of days/week that she can "follow" you and for how long on those days.
I do want to point out that it might be very hurtful to this girl if you do tell her to leave you
alone. If she is clueless about the fact that she isn't really wanted, she might take it pretty
hard. Later in life, you will have situations where you will have to spend time with people who you
don't want to be around. You will have people at school and at work that drive you nuts, but you
won't really be able to do much about that unless you are willing to quit your job or change
schools. Unless someone is stalking you at your home or honestly scaring you at work, all you can
do is deal with them in the best way you can manage. This could be a good learning experience. I
do not, however, believe that stalking is ever a good thing. It would be much easier to determine
if I knew your age, how long you have known the kid and what the circumstances of the stalking are.
Good luck. I do know what you are going through. My mom made me befriend a child who was flat out
WEIRD when I was too young to understand what was wrong with him. I resented him because of that
and, although I didn't treat him badly, I did have ways to get away from him that probably fall into
the unconventional catagory...lol. |

I say it is rude and probably illegal for the neighbor to "follow" you around because the following
could turn into "Stalking" and stalking people is illegal |

Nope. I have a friend who is extra lonly and i want to pulverize him. I am putting my foot down
harder each time to keep him away. I know how these people work It's trivial. Remember that they are
being rude first. My mom told me the same as your mom told you. |
